Petit musée agréable pour le cadre dont la cabane sur le lac. Même si Leacock n'est pas très connu dans le monde francophone, c'est une bonne petite découverte.

What a brilliant museum and I learnt seveal things about Stephen Leacock. The library was by far the most exciting thing for me. Curious if there is a catalogue of the books there as some look rather interesting. Definitely worth checking this out. I've uploaded a few unique pictures of our visit! Thanks for the opportunity to have a self guided tour.

Highly recommended museum.
My husband and I did the self-guided tour about 5 days ago over the weekend.
The lady at the entrance was friendly and helpful.
There are plenty of posters and digital screens with information to read and listen to in each room. We enjoyed the original furniture and seeing the original posters and pamphlets used to advertise Leacock's work. The place is clean, neat and tidy.
If you love history, I highly recommend visiting this place.
The only issue we had 2as the boathouse. The door and windows were covered in spiderwebs and there would be no way I would attempt to open the door to view the inside. We could see through the dusty window that there was a screen and some more things to view. So the only suggestions is to keep the entrance to the boathouse clean and accesible.
Other than that, we enjoyed the whole tour and the house was fascinating. I would definitely visit again sometime in the future.

We had a great visit of the Leacock museum. The interior is mostly kept in its original shape, which made our visit even more enjoyable. Unfortunately, the basement and upper floor were closed during our visit. The front and back yards are also very nice to walk in. Entrance fee to the building is $5 per person.

It's a historic place with a neat boatbouse by the lake, a huge garden with funky Leacock chairs cum artworks, and many artifacts from the past that Leacock used. Big mansion with expansive wings and a second floor. The house was meant for his wife that he loved dearly but she passed away before its completion due to breast cancer, which made him into an adamant advocate.

I participated in an Investigation with Black Moon Paranormal there which was fun!
I've lived in the area for 47 years and this was my 1st time there. What a fantastic place to spend a couple of hours! Mr. Leacock is famous for his humor, and has published a number of books/screenplays showcasing his talents. Canada is incredibly rich in history, and Stephan most certainly was a contributing factor.
Not to forget, the Beer Spa just a stones throw away!
A Must See If You're in the Area!
