The posters around the inside give you all the data. The big board tells you the ship schedule. The people at the front desk can answer questions and give recommendations about the town. A good early stop.

Watching the opening and closing of the bridge was so exciting. I watched the large stream ship going through the Locke. This is my first time viewing this process. When you are in the Welland, St Catherines area, go and see it. You can search online for the times the ships pass through the Locke. Everyone one should see this.

It's always interesting to see the ships go through the locks from various levels. The view from the Lock 7 lookout is pretty spectacular. The ship gets lowered or raised depending on the direction it is going. It's so amazing to watch.

Great place for viewing large ships. Just wish the bike trail was closer to the canal. Unfortunately Lock 5 doesn't have a viewing platform.

Great place to watch the ships pass through thr locks. The young lady at the visitor center was very friendly and helpful. Thanks for all the info!

Went to Lock 7 with our 5 kids and saw both a northbound and southbound ship in the locks. It was so cool and a great way to spend 45 minutes. The young woman in the museum/shop was also super-friendly. Definitely worth a visit and make sure to look online to make sure you are there when a laker is coming through.

Lock 7 Viewing Point offers a decent place to observe the lock and the surrounding scenery. However, the overall experience was just average. The view is interesting, but the area could benefit from better maintenance and amenities. It’s a nice stop if you're in the area but not necessarily a must-see destination.
