London is a city of 440,000 people and constantly growing. Everywhere you look there is some kind of construction. The city is being revitalize. The downtown core still needs a lot of work, but it is coming along. Some very interesting and attractive buildings

My review is about the Via Train, not the station.

Via is always always late, 20-45 minutes is normal, over 45 minutes is also common. I travelled a lot, especially in the summer, between Toronto and London. I always choose durations under 2.5 hours. But they always turned out to be 3 to 3.5 hours in the end. Most of my trips (>90%) has been late.
Via only gives you travel credit for delay over 1 hour.

Via should update their train schedule if they could never make it.

That's why I like Go Train so much. Via charges 41plus tax for their cheapest fare level, while Go only charges 30 tax included. Go is always on time. Their cart is larger and cleaner. Most of the time you are enjoying a 4 seats area all by yourself. Via charged 50 dollars for one pet while with Go, it is free for pet.

I am so sad that Go might stop their London Line in this October. I really hope that Go Train will not only continue their service for London but also extend their schedule on weekends.

Nice to have train service, but the service is painfully slow and too expensive. And why is there no park and ride option? It makes absolutely zero sense to pay these fares to get to Toronto and back, and also have to take a taxi to the train station and back home, or pay for parking at a ramp nearby. Otherwise the station is acceptable and the staff are generally friendly & helpful. To summarise a different way: train service is supposed to be a convenience and a cost saving for the public, NOT a way to fleece the public.

It's very refreshing to escape the hustle and bustle of Toronto from time to time. London Ontario is a wonderful place to visit for any occasion. I've done alot of work in London in the automotive industry and the facilities in London are spacious and clean. I highly recommend this place for a quick road trip you can go from here further west to Windsor.

Clean station and trains. Staff were friendly, the economy class seats were great and the WiFi was stable (many times better and faster than greyhound), on my trip at least.

Awesome town!! So much warmer compared with other cities, much morr affordable as well. Multicultural, you can literally find whatever variety you need: cultures, foods,places of worship etc... Good connections with other nearby cities. Simply perfect!
