For a natural beach fishing resort within a couple of hours drive from the GTA, this is a fine spot to stay. It even entails a private beach of miniature in size over looking a clean water domain, even my dog loved to play in its clean water. The whole area is pretty quiet and relaxing. Although it is not high class, but it is kept relatively clean. A good choice for its money.

I will start by saying that the price of our cottage rental was great, and for the money we spent (less than $500 for 3 nights for 6 people and boat rental) it was a nice value. The owners were very nice, and we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable, and they really seemed to respect everyone's space. BUT, in general the place needs A LOT of work.||||I will be shocked if most of the cottages are still standing 5 years from now. There are holes and cracks in the exterior, big gaps where there should be vent covers, missing eaves troughs, loose and damaged deck boards, and so on. A simple paint job and touchups would go a long way. The view from the front of the cottage is some overgrown shrubs.||||Inside, the furniture is a mash of what you'd find at a garage sale...typical cottage or basement furniture that should be replaced. But Useable (not to be mistaken with comfortable). The floor in our cottage was a roll-out linoleum hardwood-lookalike that was pulled up in a few spots so created quite funny tripping hazard. We were a group of friends in our 20s and 30s so it was ok, but I wouldn't want my kids there by any means. The kitchen was sooo cramped and had the most non user-friendly design ever. The oven is about 30 years old but functions, though didn't get as hot as I should have. Bedrooms were OK, and were kept in pretty decent shape. ||||Bathroom was awful, and the door didn't even properly close. Didn't shower there because it was a little gross (and I was there for the fishing, not to be clean)||||The property in general was pretty run-down. It was alright for a guys weekend where all we wanted to do was fish, but that's about it. We had great weather, but had it been poor, there wouldn't have been too much to enjoy. In definitely would not recommend as a family vacation spot, especially because the area seemed to be full of excessive drinking, etc (including us in the evening, but many others as well who chose not to keep to themselves). ||||Overall, it was a bit like stepping into the twilight zone....run down cottages, obnoxious drunks across the street harassing everyone they passed, pushy woman at the marina down the street...and unfortunately fishing wasn't too good either but we did manage to have one fish fry our last night.

Its nice place for vacation. We enjoyed a lot with full family. Whole day boating and first time fishing is amazing for us.

Friendly owners, Johnny and his wife are amazing, very accomodating. Great price for a basic cottage. Store and marina are right across the road. Lake is a 1 minute walk. Fenelon falls is a 10 minute drive and Lindsay is a 15 minute drive.

Ok the cabin needs some TLC but for great fishing, a boat and some relaxed fishing weekend rules then I don't think you will find a better deal! A bunch of monster bass never hurt either!

We have stayed here on and off for almost a year, it is a very clean and nice little cottage resort, actually we stayed here for 4 months in the winter and liked it so much we rented a site for our motorhome. The owners are super, very friendly and just ask and you receive!.

It's nice because of the lake. The cabins needs a Reno, the rooms are needing replaced in all the cabins. The interior is 50s
