It was a great service before they were bought out by Rogers. Now our services is unreliable goes out for hours without any explanation all the time. Tech support is only reachable during business hours 8-5. I reported an outage one morning and explained to the tech that this was the 3rd morning in a row that the internet went down after midnight. He pretty much called me a liar because when he checked my service it was "perfect". But within 30 mins they posted about an outage effecting my area. i depend on this service as it is the only one available in my area and cell service is nil and void. I live in a wooded area so Starlink isn't an option either!
And now they want a $3 increase hahaha. Brand new infrastructure in the last 3-5 years, that the government and taxpayers paid millions of dollars towards there Should never be issues as bad as its been the last 2 years. Thanks Rogers!!!

Day 22 of waiting to get a call back about why we're spending $100 on fiber, when it's supposed to be 100 up/down, and I'm constantly getting between 1 to 50 most of every day. Problem has been happening for over a month, but a week without even getting an update from support? The issue isn't even just the speed, it's the instability. It's causing disconnects, interrupts, and when I actually rely on my internet for work, a loss income.

For now, do not recommend. I've called them 4 times, each time was told that I should hopefully be getting a call the next day. I will update this review when I either hear more or less from them.

P.S. the images attached are less than 2 minutes apart, this is the instability that is wrecking my processes right now.

Had to change over to fiberop after more than a month of spotty/no service with regular dish (billed for the full month) Fibreop installed this morning and worked for approximately one hour. Unable to contact or leave a message with tech. They have a message about TV streaming not working.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Nick MacArthur, an operations manager at Mainland Telecom. My wife and I have an extremely long driveway and no conduit from the hydro pole to our home for the internet. Nick coordinated everything, and we had internet installed in our house within 48 hours with a very minimal headache for us. Nick made our experience with Mainland Telecom an effortless transition to becoming new customers. Thanks again Nick!

Great service. My mother and the other residents located on our rural road in Clare are thrilled to finally have a high speed Internet service. Kudos to Mainland Telecom, the Municipality of Clare and Develop Nova Scotia for getting this much needed and essential service installed along the French shore. Bravo!
