Meadowvale GO Station is one of the more convenient and well-maintained stations in the GO Transit system. Located in a quiet and accessible area, it's a great choice for commuters heading to downtown Toronto or other parts of the GTA.
The station is clean, safe, and easy to navigate. Parking is ample and free, which makes a big difference during busy weekday mornings. The platforms are well-marked, and trains are generally on time and reliable. There are also bike racks, PRESTO machines, and sheltered waiting areas—everything you need for a smooth commute.
Bus connections are available as well, making it easy to transition between local and regional travel.
Whether you're a daily commuter or an occasional traveler, Meadowvale GO offers a stress-free and pleasant experience. Highly recommended!

Meadowvale Go Station: Convenient but Room for Improvement

Pros:

•⁠ ⁠Ample parking, and it's FREE!
•⁠ ⁠Generally clean and well-maintained facilities

Cons:

•⁠ ⁠Bus drivers can be rude and unprofessional (major drawback)
•⁠ ⁠Need random, undercover passenger checks to discipline drivers

Suggestions:

•⁠ ⁠GO Transit should implement mystery shopper-style checks to monitor driver behavior
•⁠ ⁠Improve driver training and customer service standards
•⁠ ⁠Enhance passenger amenities (e.g., more seating, improved Wi-Fi)

Public transit should make it easy and desirable to leave your car at home and take a mode of operation that's simple to use. I still find that the GO train is behind the times after using it for over 30 years. First and foremost...why no trains on the weekend? I know... not enough people to warrant its expensive use. But then you force me to use my car. And it's been like this forever. I don't see the point of having public transit with only limited use. Take the GO bus? Double the time and just as much hassle as driving with all the associated traffic jams... I'd rather drive. Is the GO cheaper? Barely. 24 dollars round trip while parking is 32. I'd rather drive and leave when I want in the comfort of my own car rather than rush around trying to figure out the right time to leave while using a BUS... The train trip is reasonable when it runs Monday to Friday and you can avoid rush hour traffic.

Compared to other US cities... the train should be a major attraction to foreign visitors... a way to get from the airport to down town (UP express) and a convenient cheap way way to see the city. I don't think it's cheap, I don't find it convenient and the signage is terrible. After 10 years of construction at Union Station, I can't say it looks amazing... it's certainly ok, but not compared to cities in the US. And there's not enough signs! I've lived here 35 years and even I had to ask what direction to go when the construction at Union Station was still finishing up. Anyway, my two cents.

I take the GO bus to the office from this station. The station is clean and has a washroom. The staff are helpful. The bus comes on time. There is plenty of free parking at the station. You can buy GO tickets here.

However, it would be greatly improved by having more frequent train services to Union Station, as this would better serve the needs of those commuting to downtown Toronto.
