This is a motel, not a hotel, which was once at its best in the 1980s.
There's a lot of work to be done: the carpets in the rooms need to be removed (holes caused by cigarette smoke from the days when smoking was allowed), the carpets in the hallways are very worn, and the veneer flooring underneath needs to be replaced because it's soft due to long-standing water damage (probably due to the weight of the snow, as you can see a break in the hallway ceiling in some places). The decor itself is adequate, but it would be better if everything were repaired.

Aside from that, the customer service is still good, and the staff is friendly. There's a cafeteria-coffee service for early risers from 5:00 until 9:30
and a lunch preparation service upon request, as well as a choice of two dinner menus from 4:00 until approximately 9:00 p.m.
Contract workers from the Thompson area stay here regularly.

Room cleaning is done at a frequency similar to that of other nearby hotels. It's well done.

In short, if you ignore the broken carpets and occasional imperfections, it's clean. They've done some renovations to the rooms since the current owner took over, but there's still a lot to be done to restore this motel at a good standard.
If I had to pay for a room myself, I wouldn't stay there.

If you are planning a trip or need a place to stay you would be better camping then staying here. This place is honestly just disgusting and they don’t care about improvements or maintaining anything. There is visible mold in the building, paint peeling, and open electrical work. Very unsafe and needs to be fixed. Very disappointing.

Services they provide and location were quite nice, but I cannot give a high points to the room's condition. Bed was not sturdy enough and washroom's door cannot be shut firmly.

The people here are the heart and soul of what makes a happy mine worker, Laura and Anna own their craft and can make you smile on the darkest of days, don't forget to try their breakfast.........this is the only part of my say worth waking up for! Thank you gals

Ratings need to be changed to reflect the actual situation. This would be a zero star to -1 rating. Take a look at the pictures of the room. No working smoke detectors. Fresh air sreens are filty. Beds are remade without changing the sheets (tagged them to make sure). Mattresses are filthy. Bring bug spray (for bed time . . . . DO not stay here.

We all went for breakfast during the workday. It was awesome. Most of our crowd hadn't been there before so they were pleasantly surprised! Fast service and excellent food! They weren't clear on paying before sitting though. Hahahaa It is kind of confusing the first time you walk through. And not sure if we are supposed to bus our own tables but we did anyway.

Wir haben in diesem Hotel 2 Nächte verbracht und uns von der langen Reise sehr gut ausgeruht und erholt. Grosse saubere + geräumige Zimmer, eine angeschlossene Kantine bereitet das Frühstück. Guter kanadischer Standard. Können dieses Hotel sehr gut weiterempfehlen. Service war jederzeit freundlich und hilfsbereit.
