First off we bussed up our U18AA team from Lloydminster and each player was welcomed with a welcome gift bag of snacks and water. The rooms were clean, the lobby tidy, and the staff incredibly professional and friendly. |We also weren’t the only team staying. There was another team of U13’s (guessing) and they looked to be having the greatest time with the games room. The staff were incredibly accommodating for the young hockey players to help them burn off their excess energy. |The breakfast was delicious! Waffles, eggs, sausages. The kids were well fed for their game the following day. |We will definitely be back for any further games in Fort McMurray, and will recommend this hotel be first choice for all traveling teams we talk to!! Huge rave to this hotel. My family travelled to Fort McMurray for hockey recently, the hotel was fantastic. Immediately from check in the staff was above and beyond. The most welcoming hotel I’ve stayed at. The rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. The waffles at breakfast were “perfectly fluffy” according my youngest. We already plan to stay again.

Our stay at the hotel was for hockey. The hotel provided us with a meeting room which was great. And there is a "games room" with ping pong, video games and space for the kids to get rowdy without doing it throughout the hotel and disturbing the guests. Rooms were very clean and fine for what we required. The only issue, and its a small one, is the bathroom COUNTERTOP is terribly small. Wasn't a problem for myself and my son but if I had my daughters team her there would be nowhere to put Toiletries and cosmetics. Overall fantastic stay.

I travel to Fort McMurray close to every 2nd week for work... this hotel is my home away from home! Staff are all super friendly, rooms are spotless, beds super comfortable, decent gym equipment, and they have a lobby bar!!

Our stay at the Microtel Inn & Suites was amazing! The staff were so kind, professional and helpful. We came up from Lloydminster for a double header hockey weekend, and they prepared a welcome gift bag for each player, which was an unexpected lovely surprise. The rooms were clean, lobby tidy, breakfast delicious. Five stars, easy review to give, and will be telling everyone in Lloydminster to put this hotel as first choice when coming up. Thank you Microtel for hosting the U18AA Blazers! We will be back next year!!

Their "accessible" rooms are lacking in many respects. First the bed is way too high to transfer safely from a standard wheelchair to the bed. The shower is impossible to use unless you can stand. The floor is covered in a very soft carpet, which is makes it very very hard to roll with a wheelchair. The coffee maker is almost too high for even someone that can stand.
