OCN storm checked in for their weekend games in NCN. The front desk lady with the short hair was extremely rude and demanded absolutely every player's treaty card to give them a their tax exemption. Which is very odd for an aboriginal owned hockey club. Most of the players are underage. Is this normal for every native owned hockey team? Or is the front desk lady just having a bad day? PS the rooms stink.

We've stayed at this hotel over the last 10 years and it was nice when we first visited and got a bit sketchy for a few years. On our stay this time around, it looks like the hotel has gone through staff changes and the rooms got an overhaul. Our beds were comfortable, the TV was a big, clear flat screen TV, and the bathtub was wonderful (big and deep). The bathroom itself is a bit small even for one person but manageable. Our room had a large refrigerator AND microwave. The hotel seems to still have a bad reputation and there are sometimes a few dodgy people roaming around the outside of the hotel but overall, it seems like a nice place. I would definitely recommend this place. We've always enjoyed eating at the attached restaurant (The Adventurer's North Dining Room). They have a great menu (lots of prime rib) at a reasonable price considering how far north you are. The decor is a bit dated but I always like the "old school" style of restaurants. I'm not sure if I'm staying in the "new" portion of the hotel, but this place is great.

Spent 3 days and nights attending some training here. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant serves excellent food; their soups are incredible and the fries are good too. My only complaint was that my room key was disabled every day at check out time necessitating a trip to the front desk.

No late check out, bed had a stain, shower was dirty and housekeepers start their routine an hour early with an alarm going off until, you leave plus, the bed barely fit the wife and I (average size) but, we got our $250 deposit back.. Arrived at 5:00am-11:00am for $140.. Wouldn’t recommend it

The rooms are pretty nice, microwaves and fridges are good to have. It's clean enough. However, the walls are paper thin. Depending on your neighbours, you'll potentially get noise complaints for sneezing.

You also can't go outside without being harassed for cigarettes, so that kind of sucks.

I can say it's the best service about staying for sleeping, location and service and it's near the downtown like Supermarket, McDonald's and Gas stations

I have lived in Thompson for 28 years and this used to be one of the wonderful places to go for a exceptional meal. Reservations were made, and the table was beautifully set. I spent over 100.00 for my partner and I, and I think that was the worst dine-out meal I have ever had. The over salted broil steak, but I think it was boiled, was a disappointment. Six of us dine together--six of us left disappointed. Spend your money elsewhere.
