Alo is a class act. Caught a bunch of fish and truly enjoyed our time on the water. Would highly recommend using Native American Adventures. This was a day filled with warmth, laughter, knowledge sharing and ceremony. Thank you Alo for sharing your land, water and culture with us. You nourished our souls and hearts not to mention you fed us with that amazing lunch. The fishing was wonderful, but you know why we will never forget our visit to the petroglyphs. So special. My family and I had a wonderful day trip out on the boat with Alo. I'd highly recommend this tour for anyone who's interested in learning more about the local history and culture of the area. The pictographs and rock carvings are really a must-see. Alo is a brilliant guide with a wealth of knowledge and a really lovely, genuine person. My spouse and I have been out fishing with Alo on two occasions, once in the rain and the second on a beautiful day. Both were terrific. But this is not just a 'fishing' trip - although you can be sure of catching plenty of fish. Alo, as an elder of his community, teaches about his native traditions and history. This is a trip that is not to be missed.

My partner and I were looking for a guide to show us some of the history and beauty of Lake of the Woods. Pete took us on a 1/2 day cruise. Not only did he show us some lovely spots, he gave us a uniquely native perspective on some historical locations we would have otherwise overlooked. So many unwritten stories that help explain native history that don’t rely on the European influence for “translation”. Pete was also very inclusive of us non-natives while sharing how we all fit into the larger picture.
Really cool afternoon. Would highly recommend and do another trip with Pete anytime.

I was working in Canada and called to squeeze in a one person one day fishing trip with Alo. He was very accommodating on short notice. He quickly put me on the fish and let me chill out while catching numerous walleye and northern. He certainly knows the water and the Anishinaabe history. I've always been interested in Native culture and Alo made it more than a fishing trip. I look forward to returning to hear more about the Anishinaabe history.....and another limit of walleye! Thanks Alo!

I took my two sons fishing with Alo in July and had a great time. He's very patient with young kids. The weather was rough but we still caught lots of fish. The shore lunch was fantastic!
