The road into the camp is extremely unkept and muddy. It’s right off the highway so all you hear is semi trucks and jake breaks all day and night. There’s dog pop everywhere. The little river it’s on is to low to do any fishing even if you could the owner asked us not to fish. Rules posted everywhere. The bbq at the cabin we rented was to rusted to use. Over all unpleasant stay

My husband & I love spending the summer camping at Norm's. The owners are wonderful people and have assisted us any time we needed them. We love that there are rules for everyone as it makes for a very calming and enjoyable camping experience. Going to miss not seeing all the great people there for a couple of years as we will be going East to visit family. We will be back!

This campground may not be suitable if you have dogs or enjoy socializing by the fire

After a long 4-hour drive on a Friday evening, we arrived at 9:00 pm, eager to set up our trailers and unwind around the campfire with some food and conversation. We made sure to keep noise levels down, and our dogs were well-behaved. However, our peaceful evening took an unexpected turn when a staff member approached us behind our trailers and shined a flashlight in our dog's eyes, causing him to become agitated. This sudden encounter left us feeling unwelcome, and we were asked to quiet our dog, who had been calm until then.

Feeling disrespected, we decided to cut our stay short and departed the next morning. It became evident that this campground caters more to senior campers and enforces strict rules regarding noise and outdoor activities past 11 pm. Oh, and we were also accused of turning into lumberjacks at 3:00 am when in reality, we were just trying to enjoy our propane fire pit.

When we approached the checkout for a refund due to our early departure, we were met with a disappointing response. They told us they'd do anything to get rid of us, which was the final straw in our unpleasant experience. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this campground unless you and your pets can maintain absolute silence. The overall value does not justify the price, considering it's more of a parking lot-style campground.

My Parents stayed there every summer because my Dad enjoyed the fishing. We would drive 5 hours to spend time with them and would only spend a couple of days there as the rules and regulations were so stressful. It's run like a military camp, atleast in the military you get free meals. You have to pay for something everytime you turned around. Not family friendly. Just hated this place.

100% the absolute worst campground I’ve ever stayed at. Horrible owners with no respect for the campers.
We arrived late on Friday around 8:30pm after a good 4.5 hour drive. All seemed to go well until about 4:30am when the husband of the owner came over and shined a flash light in on my friends dogs face while it’s pitch black outside- and said to us you all neeed to quiet the “F***” down and go to bed. LOL, meanwhile he was playing music and putting a pig up for a pig roast that weekend. And also asking us to stop chopping wood. FUN FACT- We had a propane fire table that we brought, so you tell me how we were chopping wood?
These owners are so stuck up it’s not even funny.
On Saturday- woke up packed up and left as we didn’t want to deal with snotty old people. Before we left, we went into the office and told them we were leaving, her response was “oh good, we’re glad you are leaving” something along the lines of that. I simply asked for a refund and it was given to me. We left, nothing else happened after that.
But people believe me, you damn near have to ask to talk while on that campground it’s so strict about noise.
My suggestion is- Do not even waste your time with this campground or these people. They are so stuck up it’s beyond me. If you do stay, well you’ve been warned.
Horrible place

Arlene and Grant take great pride in their facility and it shows in all they do. They seem to never stop working at making it a top notch resort. All levels of camping facilities, as well as a riverfront cabin and a loft for those without camper, trailer or motorhome. We always book for the next year before we leave to be assured of our favorite spot. Thank you Arlene and Grant for your warm hospitality!

Terrible terrible place. If you like being ostracized and watched this is the place to go! I’ve stayed here and will never go back. The owners aren’t friendly. Have a dog? Watch out. Have kids? Better make sure they don’t make a peep. Want a fire đŸ”„ after 10pm? Better realize they’ll be watching. Haha vacation place?!! Ya right!
Oh and the playground? My elderly mother came to see us and took my 4 and 5 year old daughters to play at the playground. The owner came up yelling you don’t belong here!!! Get out of here! To my mother she was like uhhh my daughter is parked here we just came for a visit. I let that one go which I shouldn’t have.
I had a friend come to stay beside us they were belligerent to him. Don’t you wreck our grass (even tho he didn’t even park his rig yet) basically putting him down. Just mean and rude for no reason. He was like I will never come back here again. Which I get. Neverrrrr everrrr again will I be back to this place.

Go up
