My company booked 5 of us into your hotel in Peace River on Thursday 30 May. We were greeting by a friendly front desk representative just after 9pm. We filled in the paperwork manually, received keys and went to our rooms.
The horror began for me at 11.43, when loud banging on my door, and shouting began. I was awakened from my sleep, jumped out of bed and interfaced with a man who said he was security. He wanted me to go downstairs and re-check in, because said he, I was in a room that was showing up empty. I refused to go to the front desk and called down instead, detailing my experience. Why didn’t Front Desk call up to the room?
Within 30 minutes, loud banging again on the door by this rogue security man. I shouted at him to get away from the door so that I could sleep.
Again I called the Front Desk rep, and again received a very weak apology. I was the only one in the group subjected to this harassment, despite it being a group booking. In the morning, before we left - still no apology, but undiluted indifference.
A sincere apology, a sense of caring, of kindness and empathy, would have been like balm on an open wound.
I didn’t care that the room was dirty, that a dime sized spot of blood was on the carpet, that the sink was not sanitized; I just wanted to have undisturbed sleep.
Nova Inn, Peace River, Alberta could not, or would not deliver that.

Expensive, shabby, clean ish but I put the "please clean my room" tag on my door 3 times with no cleaning, and no breakfast.

Just go to high point, for 7 days here I paid 1020$. High point is more like 800.

I can give at least 3 stars though because no bed bugs so good job on that. The Western Budget gets bed bug season apparently XD

I wish we didn't experience this hotel, honestly, but at least I can write here about it so others wouldn't.

Looking at the pictures of this place, I thought that it looked nice - a fireplace, nice colours, a gym...

Let me start with the rooms. Rooms were fine when it comes to the IDEA of interior and cleanliness. The TV is old and, if you were looking to watch some movies on your netflix account, you won't here. The AC was AWFULLY loud. The fan in the washroom sounded like a herd of angry and big mosquitoes chasing you. The bedding had all the strings coming out of it.
Our view wasn't the best either.
The place was creepy, the elevator was sketchy, the stairway looked like it came from a horror movie.
The tap in the washroom was dripping all of the time (the bathtub faucet).
The gym was TINY. You can't bring your own workout/yoga mat as there is no space to place it.

Oh... The breakfast. The breakfast was sadddd.
Some packaged refrigerated eggs and burritos, some packaged bread and bagels.
The vending machines both were out of order.
The service was not it. I walked in with my partner and, well, did not feel all too welcomed. In the morning I greeted one of the ladies to receive silence for the answer.

We yearned for the night to end and leave this Nova Inn behind. Not returning ever.

A diverse collection of types that stay here creepy bums, cheap working guys, and lage families in escalades. If you don't care about cleanliness or smelly rooms it's ok I rode with a loogie on the elevater wall for a week. Late night entertainment when the liquor runs out and the place to fight is out in the hallway. What really did for me is the hot water and pressure gone when I had shampoo in my hair.

First off, the staff are so friendly!! BUT unfortunately you can tell the company doesn’t give them much room to make the stay a good one. It was highly out of date and gloomy inside. The gym is basically a standard hotel room with all the furniture taken out and replaced with a few pieces of equipment; hopefully your the only one in there or there won’t be enough room to work out.
Rooms were fine, took ten mins for water in the shower to get hot and the portable AC machine are just terrible to sleep a foot away from.
The continental breakfast was just plain sad. I had to ask the front desk if there was breakfast due to the serving area being so bare. No fruit, fresh juice, hot breakfast. Basically had the option of a microwaveable breakfast burrito or a hard boiled egg. Oh but don’t worry they had lots of dry cereal….. will not be returning and would never recommend to anyone.

This place was ghetto. Rooms are fairly dated and grimy. The bed was clean, at least. My coworker heard yelling down their hallway. Doors slamming at random hours of the night. Trash bags left sitting in the hallway for days at a time. Breakfast consists of prepackaged items you can microwave. Over the course of the week, selection dwindled. If you need a place to lay your head at night, it serves that purpose. If your standards are high, steer clear!

It was a last-minute reservation, when I arrived the lady at the desk was friendly and gave me clear direction to my room.
She also told me where I could find parking in a nearly full parking lot.
My room was much fancier than I was used to. The bedroom was actually separated from the rest of the room by French doors.
