Only 2 stars because it's cheaper to have a ride. The location of this place has bad logistics, It's pretty hard to get here without a car or Uber. I have spent 1 hour getting here and now I'm waiting another hour because they have a break from 12 to 1 pm which is not mentioned in Google maps. I guess I had enough. My time is more expensive than all of that

Do better. Why do your busses consistently never arrive or are so late that you might as well walk or call an UBER. Specifically the #4 bus. Just terrible, terrible service. I have been late to work so many times due to your service being terrible. Even when I leave 2 hours early for a 45 minute bus ride... honestly need to step it up and do better.

I generally appreciate Oakville's public transit system as a non-driver relying on it for daily commuting. Most drivers are friendly and helpful, but I recently encountered an issue with the driver on Route 5 around 8:10 AM on December 22, 2023. At the 3038 stop, I boarded and alighted at Oakville Hospital. The driver was unexpectedly unfriendly, urging me to hurry up when I was getting off.

I found this interaction uncomfortable, as the driver shouted at me to exit quickly, implying I shouldn't wait. However, at that moment, the bus hadn't come to a complete stop. I believe the driver needs further training to understand that passengers should wait until the vehicle is entirely stationary before standing up for their safety.

Its today (May 10) incident in southcommon bus supposed to arrived at 3:24 PM but bus was delay by 1 hour.there was 2 buses in between but the drivers were confused on theselve, which bus is supposed to take passengers.
On top of that, the bus had too loud sound by which all the passengers were irritated.

I am so sick of having to rely on this legitimately horrible service. If I had a single other option I would never get on an Oakville Transit bus again. Even with the frankly pathetic 2 buses per hour on most routes, buses are never on time. Fares are a ridiculous $3.30 per ride if you have a presto card, $4 exact change. For a service this terribly inconsistent and poorly run it should be free, but of course because oakville is mostly inhabited by people who own 2-3 cars there’s no incentive to improve whatsoever. Calling customer service to complain about the buses being over 20 minutes late - AGAIN - gets you a snippy response from the receptionist and not much else. I’ve lived in a lot of places and used a lot of public transit systems and this is by FAR the worst one. If you have some other way of getting to your destination, use it instead of Oakville Transit. Trust me, you’ll be better off.

Coming from a small city in the prairies, i was excited for better public transit options in the gta. However they are somehow alot worse. Which is extremely sad and is starting to paint the obvious reality that the majority of public transportation options in Canada are run by insanely incompetent companies and individuals. Im located in a high traffic area and yet the bus comes once an hour.... on a weekend..... This bus should be running 3-4 times an hour minimum. Actually rediculous how incompetently run this system is. Especially when you consider the ludacris prices they charge for such poorly structured and operated service. Realistically fares shouldnt be more than 2$ to match the equivalency of service. Seems like the same problem everywhere in Canada. A+++ rates for D- service.

Not to mention the stops are cheap signs basically zap strapped to telephone poles that have 0 information. Put proper bus stops in that indicate ALL buses that stop at the bus stop. Whoever runs oakville transit clearly dropped out in 4rth grade.

Make SPLIT program ride free, as you just did for rich kids and million-dollar homeowners 65+! How can you justify free for rich, but force people on disability to come to your lousy head office (serviced only by ONE route and only mornings and afternoons) each and every month to pay for the SPLIT, monthly passes, paper passes or tickets City of Burlington has already this in place since 2019 ! Their Council proposed an amendment as part of the 2019 budget which made this program 100% subsidized for eligible residents, starting on May 1, 2019. This was estimated to result in a $108,200 of lost revenue at that time for ALL Burlington SPLIT residents! How much REVENUE DID YOU LOSE with rich kids and million-dollar homeowners 65+ riding free? Enough is enough, wake up Rob Burton!
