I didn't have anywhere else to live at the time, and I thought "they look super clean in the pictures. Perfect" So I'm pretty sure all of the photos are of the cabins, which are the higher end rooms. I of course couldn't afford a cabin. This room was disgusting. The previous tenant was obviously a smoker, they didn't even bother to wash the bedding. I spent a lot of my time scrubbing the walls and windows of the brown tobacco sludge everywhere and I did not get it all. The bedframe busted on me, and it turns out it was duct taped together. Also, the heat didn't work until just before I left, so I was freezing my ass off for about two weeks before I left. An elderly person could've died!!! These are vulnerable people who have to stay here, and it is not safe! This isn't right! This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen! If you have a choice, do not do business with these people! They're basically slum lords

The room we stayed in wasn't very clean in area's. Would have had to clean down everything to use the cooking area. As online shows room as one thing and supplies there was at best just put in there and very dirty. Single burner as so dirty, I didn't use! 2 forks and 1 spoon and butter knife to use. Sponge was not new in over a month. I just got eating stuff at dollar store and food out to eat. We slept on top of bed even tho room smelled clean.
The walls (as we seen check out day clean up) had a white dust? or mold like film on the walls over the bed mostly. Interior room need a full clean down and set up for what listing says in the package and price charge in 2 night stay! Should of not gave this room out for shape of it. I know better to ask to see room beforehand paying!

Bathroom was clean tho!!! Owner wasn't in our business and area/side we where in was quite. Location was great for walking distance to a bit of shopping, but bit of driving to site see and food wise. I would find it hard to try this location again. Value is not there and same price as breakfast included hotel and full room set up!
We like motel for walkout reasons, but this would be 2nd worse I've stayed in due to shape of room.

Amazing people. Great family ran business. Stayed here for roughly 8 months and was always greeted kindly and my daughter lived comfortably. Nice kitchen areas on the cabin side, so if you're planning a camping trip or a fishing/hunting trip or simply coming to visit. This is a great spot to spend the night

I have asked for a late check out ahead of time and received a confirmation that the room will be available for an extra hour or so. I confirmed the late check out details when I checked in. When I called back on the check out day at noon (one hour after the check out time) the same guy at the reception said the room is no longer available. Horrible service!

On the main road in Gravenhurst and location location location is key. Thanks to booking on booking dot com, got a rate that was way cheaper than what they were offering on-the-spot. For eg, I paid $97 (pre-tax) for a cabin that has two double beds (able to sleep four) - the in-person rate was $199 - then again, this was the cheapest I found in Gravenhurst for the one night we stayed on the weekend. WiFi is reliable and the cabins are cozy. The toilet was sanitized. The place also comes with air-conditioning, tv, instant coffee and a microwave. Check-in and check-out were quick as well.

Our experience was terrific. We were in the Muskoka for a family wedding. The bridal couple told all guests about a variety of options of places to stay for the wedding, and we selected the Oakwood Motel. We were very happy we did. The rooms were clean and well maintained with a lot of added personal touches. The hosts (Renata and Markus) went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Renata was always making sure everything we okay during our stay, and we very much appreciated them working with us for a late check in. We loved that we had a sitting area just outside our cabin door, which allowed us to have morning coffee with other family members. We would definitely plan to stay here again.

Stayed 2 nights, will not return. They rent out long-term, 3 late night OPP visits for the tenants next door. The OPP even checked on us very late to make sure we were okay. Basically, there is no service. Walkway full of ice, no salt or sand put down. They advertise a coffee maker, no coffee maker in the room. You make coffee by putting instant coffee into a cup and pouring boiling water into the cup. We asked twice, this is what they said. We will not return nor recommend to anyone. These tenants are not good for business.
