Excellent selections of country, blues, jazz, folk, hip hop and more. Used and new records mixed together. Has something in all price ranges. Used records were cleaned. New and used hi-fi equipment and turntable gear was also aplenty. Very friendly and knowledgeable.

I'm not local so my experience at this shop is fairly limited; but I'd like to start by saying that I had an excellent experience at Old Town Records.

Over Christmas 2024 I was visiting my brother and his family who live in Martins River not too far away. Anytime I travel I try my best to check out any record shops in the general vicinity and have been to tons over the past twenty or so years.

It's a very cozy and compact shop. What it lacks in size it most importantly makes up for in an extremely varied yet seemingly curated selection of albums of all genres.
They carry shiney new platters as well as the dusty old 12"s that some townie found in the garage and brought in hoping to make a quick buck. In my experience, the gems abound the Old Town Records used new arrivals stack.

The guy running the place was totally approachable, knowledgeable, generous and obviously has great taste.
If you live in the area and collect albums; I'd strongly suggest supporting them. Most towns would be lucky to have a place like this.

Old Town Records is a hidden gem with an unbeatable selection of new and used vinyl at incredibly fair prices. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, made even better by the kind and knowledgeable owner, Mike!
