Horrible experience. I was denied social assistance by Georgina. I have had no money since April 11th and my claim was denied by her. Having just left a domestic violence situation I would have appreciated more understanding and compassion. The staff at Grand River hospital was amazing and so helpful. I wish my experience at Ontario Works had been better.

She is an example of kindness, respect, and humanity, always offering help with a smile and a warm attitude. I can't think of how I could have been treated with more dignity than I was with this office and my case worker(s). Applying for assistance is a humbling experience, yet the authentically kind and patient staff kept it from becoming a humiliating one. My case-worker(s) has/have been, and continue to be above-and-beyond, proactive. An exceptional office!

I was very shocked to see how wonderfully your greeted from all staff members. Coming from Brampton to a new city I was worried and scared not knowing anyone but they were so pleasant and I felt calm . In Brampton it's not like that at all. So thank you to everyone for your help when I needed it most and for making me feel welcomed. Keep up the good work!

All staff members are quite friendly and helpful, it seems like they work for the Region of Waterloo because they WANT to help others. They offer many helpful services for the unemployed, including a resource library, a wall of jobs hiring, and countless workshops on building practical skills for your professional life, JUST TO NAME A FEW.
