If your child needs something more to their emotional, social, physical, or academic education, the programs here are dynamic and creative. Our family accesses their therapeutic services at the Out to Play site for a year now. I only wish I could send my children to more programs here. Worth the drive from outside the city - we drive about 40 minutes each way to attend. This is child-centered programming in action.

Lara and her team have created a truly magical place for kids to spend their day out in nature and with very caring people that truly love kids. My kids loved their teachers, and loved their friends and their time at Out to Play was something I am sure they'll always remember. Thank you!

We absolutely love Out to Play! Our daughter has grown in leaps and bounds in terms of her confidence, awareness and comfort in nature. I can barely keep her in the house now, she only wants to be outside and she is so creative and imaginative in her play. When we take her to playgrounds, she is looking for sticks and trees and animals. She is much more confidant in her interactions with others and her development overall has skyrocketed since we started. She (and we) adore all of the knowledgable, kind and intelligent instructors who provide such a comfortable, safe and stimulating environment. After every session, they give detailed feedback on the day and always relate beautiful stories that arise. I couldn’t be more pleased with our choice in Out to Play, and plan to keep our girls in their programming as long and as often as possible.

Out to Play is consistently a highlight for our child's week, and has been a wonderful contributor to growing their sense of self, wonder, and inspiring continued curiosity. The educators have met the children where they are, building their resiliency, risk-taking, and imagination in the outdoors. We know that our child is extremely well cared for and returns happy-tired at the end of each week. We truly cannot say enough good things about Out to Play and are grateful to Lara and the team for all they do.

I am an owner and farmer and resident at BeetBox Farm, where Out to Play runs most of its programs. My 2.5yo daughter and I have been participating in their Family Program for a few seasons - it's great - basically a super well set up and facilitated outdoor play group that happens in a field/foresty setting. I am really excited to enroll her in the forest school as soon as a spot opens up. I have started to get to know Lara, who runs Out to Play, and some of her staff. I can count on her and the Out To Play team to have thought of every detail that matters when it comes to offering a high-quality and fun learning environment for the kids, while having a positive/gentle impact on the land.

Our three kiddos adore Out To Play, it is the highlight of everyones week and we are so happy to have this as a way to balance out their school week. The setting is absolutely magical. I cannot say enough about the teachers who have fostered such close connections to the kids. They really invite children to explore, get curios, and be mindful of the natural world. Witnessing these interactions has also taught me so much about how to interact and nurture this relationship.

We have loved every second of forest school. The staff are helpful and friendly. They even remember mine and my baby's names (who hardly ever comes to pick up/drop off). I had a lot of anxiety about forest school in the winter but they were supportive of my kids when it was hard for them and helped me dress them successfully to have a great time outside no matter the weather.
