Worst experience possible. Was denied flight for a work trip last second because of a "weight" issue. Left stranded not able to connect to flight. Woman at the front desk was very rude.

This company also ships stuff out from powell river and its worth more money to them so they are quick to deny passengers to accommodate their shipping service.

DO NOT DEPEND ON THEM. especially if you have deadlines to meet

There is a common issue with Pacific Coastal in Powell River when the airplane is fully booked it is not legally allowed to take off from the airport due to weight restrictions. My last two flights out of Powell River involved the airline telling two unlucky individuals they are being denied boarding onto the plane (the first time was my partner and I. Last week was a different unlucky couple). The airline is aware of the issue but doesn't make any adjustments for it (I.e. selling two less seats). If you have a connecting flight or important appointments be aware of this issue with Pacific coastal as it can disrupt your travel plans.

Staff at Pacific Coastal in Powell River are always friendly and helpful. Get to the terminal a minimum of 40 minutes before departure. There is a car rental facility on site, but call ahead to make sure some one will be at the desk when you arrive.
As far as the plane goes, it is a small twin propeller plane. I'm sure it's good, but I get very stressed whenI fly, so I don't pay attention to anything until it's back on the ground lol. Have a great flight

Amateur hour Here in Powell River! The airline over booked..sold seats that in fact are not available. Unapologetic and would only offer a seat on the next flight otherwise the money spent on the ticket would be lost.

Good airport, but Pacific Coastal could sure kick it up a notch. Their rates are not the best. I have used them a lot, and it’s sure nice getting to Vancouver in 45 minutes.
