While the staff's friendly and accommodating nature was a definite plus, and the hotel's affordability in comparison to other Prince Rupert establishments is undeniable, the deplorable state of cleanliness overshadows any positive aspects. The rooms were shockingly dirty, with carpets so filthy that guests would hesitate to remove their shoes. Evidence of neglect was rampant, from rotting drapes literally falling apart to grungy lampshades harboring unknown substances. The rusted and stained bathtub was a particular low point, with housecleaning seemingly neglecting even the most basic rinsing during our four-night stay. While towels were replaced daily, the bed linens remained unchanged, and the floors went unvacuumed. Even the windows suffered from prolonged lack of cleaning. While the price point might appeal to budget-conscious travelers, the pervasive filth is inexcusable and cannot be ignored.

Rooms are filthy and run down. It’s one thing for a hotel to be dated, but still clean. Carpet is gross. Curtains are torn. Window doesn’t close properly. The hallways are the only thing that’s been updated in here.

The mural outside is probably the best part about this hotel. My room was unfortunately very, very gross. I counted 7 different hairs (read: pubic hairs) on the duvet alone, which was also stained - and there were toenail clippings scattered throughout the bathroom. The front desk person was quite nice and helpful, but overall it was not a comfortable or enjoyable stay.

The only reason I gave this place a 3 is because of the staff. They were super friendly and helpful.

The Inn is very dated and needs an overhaul. The sink in our room looked like it was going to fall off the wall. The room itself was clean but the drapes were worn and had a couple of holes.

There was a water advisory on when we stayed but we were provided with bottled water free of charge. The Continental breakfast was decent.

The location of this property is excellent when using the ferry and budget friendly.

Very disappointed in how the hotel handled my watch which I unfortunately left in my room. After several calls and promises of a returned call from 4 different employees, I was left feeling that the hotel did not care enough to really find out what happened or to even give me a call back to try and resolve the issue. I realize I am responsible for my items but I feel a hotel should have procedures in place for items left in rooms accidentally. I feel I can’t trust this hotel again and I can’t recommend it to anyone either. Unfortunate as I have been staying here regularly for the last 4 years and to have this happen over a watch is a shame.

My bedding was clean and my towels were clean so that's great. There was no temperature control in the room and it was too warm, so that made for poor sleep. The shower worked but required a very strong pull to engage the shower function. The paint was peeling in many places in the bathroom. The breakfast was available at 5am which was awesome because we had to be at the dock for fishing by 6:15am so that was nice. I grabbed a muffin every morning and they were good and fresh. I didn't take advantage of any of the other choices, but there was yogourt and cereals available. The staff completed tasks as needed but were just fair and functional. None of the vending machines worked. The water was not clear and we ended up getting a 4L jug of water for brushing our teeth and washing our faces. I usually do some yoga while I'm away as I get stiff from the bed and driving, but I avoided being on the floor. Overall, I would rank this place as having the amenities of a 3 star but really only satisfying 2 full stars and the price was high for the quality of the rooms.
