Incredible experience with Tracey and Tim on their 10 day horseback riding trip. A completely immersive experience learning horsemanship skills and preparing us for a 5day backcountry riding adventure in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Great food and stories and laughter around the campfires. There is a welcoming atmosphere at the ranch and the horses are just wonderful to be around. Definitely an outdoor experience not to be missed and one I will certainly do again.

Spent a single night in a canvas tent at Painted Warriors recently. What a great experience!

We arrived in the afternoon before supper and did an archery lesson. Then after supper spent some time next to the communal fire pit that lies in the center of a secluded area surrounded by nearly a dozen canvas tents.

After a night of great conversation with the other guests, Norwegian survival guide students attending an outdoor survival education course, we settled in for the night. With the provided sleeping bags, pillow and extra blanket, our sleep was quite cozy. It was a treat to sleep with the sounds of the wilderness around us and of course the fresh air.

We only stayed one night this time, but it was enough to make me commit to getting away from the city on a more regular basis.

What a simply great facility. While I'm not a winter camping aficionado, I can easily imagine spending the night here even down to -20C. The tents were rock solid. Wooden base and frame, but then with a canvas wrap. Beds were solid, with a padded mattress upon which the sleeping bag was positioned. A good sized wood stove was in the corner which would provide ample heat in the winter. It was in summer mode while we stayed there, but I could imagine the heat it would throw.

Bathroom facilities were quite modern and close to the tents with a motion activated walkway. Other than the motion activated lights, there were none to mention. If you like a dark sky at night, with a total escape from the city, with exceptional sleeping facilities, you'll have to check out this place.

The hosts were absolutely great. The energy at Painted Warriors was spectacular. We will be back and bring our own student groups to the site and stay for multiple days.

Enjoyed a glamping experience in a cozy canvas tent in a very comfortable bed. Our stay included a delicious dinner cooked over a fire, and a home cooked breakfast. We participated in an immersive archery experience including a course though the woods with 3D targets. The staff and owners were very lovely, comforting, and kind people. Would recommend to anyone looking to relax, be present, and learn valuable skills.

5-stars!!!!! An amazing experience. Tracey and Tim went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable, enjoyable and so very interesting. I would highly recommend taking advantage of any of the extra activities, especially those with the horses, the indigenous plant walk and fire building.

We had a small company outing for a half day and what a pleasant surprise this was. Being able to partake in a smudge to get us going, having a very tasteful salmon lunch, then trying our luck at starting a fire to doing a little archery and then the horses! I can't say enough good about this, not only do you get to go on a short ride but you really get to know the horses and the interaction with them, really bonding. What a fantastic day! I will definitely be going back again.
