La randonnée pour aller voir les rapides est vraiment trÚs facile. Le lieu est propre et bien entretenu;

I found this place absolutely fascinating! The trail to the viewpoint was relatively easy to walk, making it accessible for most visitors. Along the way, there’s a beautiful brown lake with stunning views, although I couldn’t find a spot to sit by its edge. The highlight, though, is at the end of the trail—the view of the rushing water is simply breathtaking. The sheer power and speed of the currents feel like a symphony of strength and freedom. Make sure to bring binoculars to fully appreciate the details and beauty of the area!

A really terrific hike through the woods leading to the Skookumchuck rapids. Fine for fit seniors, patient children, and leashed dogs. Most of the hike is flat, until you get closer to the rapids, then some narrow uphill / downhill areas with stones and roots. Be sure to wear proper hiking or walking shoes. The view at Skookumchuck Narrows is beautiful and well worth the 4km hike into the brush. Brings lots of water to stay hydrated, especially on hot days. If you are visiting the Sunshine Coast, this is a must see attraction!

Beautiful walk, absolutely stunning at the rapids. 100% NOT stroller/wagon friendly and there are no signs saying that it’s not stroller friendly. Our baby couldn’t even ride in the stroller it was to bumpy. If your bringing younger kids this walk could take you an hour and a half to two hours and you will most likely have to carry your kids along the way. So plan your timing well.
We brought our stroller not knowing it was so rough most of the way. Our kids couldn’t even ride in the stroller so we had to carry them and drag the stroller over the rough areas. There was also another family that brought their stroller and had just as much struggle with it as us.
It’s about 1.5-2km walk from where you have to park to get to the trail head.
Still highly recommend doing and seeing the rapids! There’s two places to go watch the rapids, the look out which is farther away from then and then you can go right next to them and watch closer up. Highly recommend going closer up to watch them. The trail to get closer is very bumpy, hilly and rough with roots but work the trek.

Gorgeous trail to the narrows. It’s mostly flat with a few declines and inclines. Takes about an hour each way, starting from the parking. Well established, nicely carved, seasoned trail which is slightly busy even on a rainy day. Trail can be uneven and root-y for about 50% of the time so people with strollers may have a hard time. Peaceful views of Brown Lake on the way to the narrows you can’t miss! Do not forget to look up the Tide Timetable to catch the tide at the best time.

Gorgeous hike for a rainy day, but recommend carrying an umbrella for extra cover during the hike since the forest canopy doesn’t cover you from the rains much. It rained mid-heavily on the way back and we were soaked.

A great way to spend an afternoonm. A short 45 minute hike in will lead you to the perfect backdrop for a post card. There is a amazing little bakery at the start of the trail which is highly recommended. The trail is very well kept and suitable for all ages.
