We made a point of doing the hike while staying in the area on a mini vacation. Absolutely beautiful place. Easy to hike wearing proper gear. Can get very slippery in some spots so be careful. Doesn't take long but very enjoyable.
Just stop for a moment and breathe. Listen to the rushing water. Very exhilarating.
The history of the dam is very a educational read.

Pete’s Dam Park is a hidden gem! The easy 2 km loop trail is perfect for a peaceful walk, and the main waterfall is lovely with a few smaller cascades along the way. The trail is well maintained and offers plenty of parking. I especially enjoyed how quiet and scenic it was—we even spotted some birds and took a relaxing picnic by the river.
A great spot for families, hikers, or anyone looking for a nature escape close to town. Highly recommended!

This is a fantastic place to spend a couple hours. Especially in the fall. The colours of the trees were absolutely gorgeous 😍 I loved sitting by the river and listening to the sound of the water. So peaceful. There's also a great covered picnic pavilion right next to the parking lot, so perfect for a nice picnic lunch and a stroll down the trail.

Short, easy hike with nice views of the creek. Family had fun picking saskatoons and posing by the falls. Couldn't find the washroom shown on the map. We passed about 7 other small groups of people during our hike. Dog are to be on-leash. Nice shaded picnic shelter with tables at the entrance. Great place to spend a couple hours outdoors...for free!

Great place to stop in for an hour or so. The trails are rough and rocky and the bridges are in desperate need of repair, but the waterfalls are beautiful.

Tip: Keep an eye out for the arrows on the trees to keep you on the trails.
