A Beautiful small lighthouse. Well worth a walk to the end. I spent a good couple of hours on it and the area around wildlife watching. At high tide with a swell really feels quite exiting. Great views of the coastline and Berwick.

Great views after a short walk. No barrier on one side, so keep those kids on a lead !!

Berwick upon Tweed lighthouse is at the end of the pier and marks the mouth of the River Tweed.
It’s about a half mile walk along the pier to reach to lighthouse. Although it’s not open to the public, it’s a nice walk and well worth doing.
There are some seats along the pier, so you can stop and watch the world go by.
We’ve seen seals, swans and Eider ducks on that walk.
If you are in Berwick, this is a must do trip.

Seems to be an old structure and as per the plaque it has a long history from the 12th or 13th century. It is a long walk and be brave to walk it. From the light house pier you can see the far Bamburgh castle and holy island or Lindisfarne. It is a very good location to see the Berwick in one shot.
