My husband and I found this B&B to be lovely, filled with history, a comfortable bed, good food and excellent hosts! We would recommend this everyone.
Just be careful when booking- do it directly on their website as Air B&B takes 15% .

We stayed at the Phoenix house one night. The Hosts, Dave and BarbraLynn are very gracious. The house is beautiful. We stayed in the parlour room which is off the common living room. It was nice, the only down point was our private bathroom was not in the bedroom. The breakfast was family style in the morning, which was great. Got to visit with the hosts and all the other guests. Also forgot something when we left and it was returned to us. Would stay again, but in a different room.

My husband and I truly enjoyed the two nights we stayed at the bed-and-breakfast. The hosts were gracious and we really enjoyed the conversations we had with other guests during the family style breakfast. Our bed was comfortable and we had air-conditioning which was necessary since it was 35° outside. There is a lovely backyard to sit in if you have time, and are not doing a lot of sightseeing like we were. Thank you for your hospitality!

Dave and BarbraLynn were wonderful! We were a bit punchy from a long days ride, but they welcomed us in and made us feel instantly comfortable. The work they have accomplished on the house is amazing. Breakfast on the deck off of the Master Room was lovely. We would love to stay again and get to know them a bit better next time 🙂

Really appreciated the warm welcome and introduction to the BnB. Our room had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. Enjoyed our conversations with the hosts. Beautiful gardens! Convenient that we could also arrange our Alberta Prairie Railway tickets through the host.

A member of our group was hospitalized. I informed the B &B immediately. He contacted about which room to release and filled the second room then charged us for that room. We paid for two rooms but only one was available. He lacked compassion, honesty and integrity.

We were very happy with our stay. Dave is a very talented individual being a carpenter, music composer, musician, etc and he cooked great breakfasts. Both Dave and Barbara Lyn are great hosts and very easy to talk too. Dave gave a good history regarding the house and how the reno came about. Had great conversations regarding their travels. Master bedroom was very comfortable and the balcony was very welcome. A larger TV would have been welcomed when watching sports. |Joe & Marion

We stayed two nights in the house of my dreams. Thank you Barbara-Lynn & Dave!! The Phoenix House is a clean, beautifully appointed home which has captured the nostalgic atmosphere I adore with modern amenities. The rooms are truly works of art. They have a lovely garden area and private seating outside with the front porch being my absolute favourite. Dave is an amazing cook and was happy to accommodate our dietary restrictions. Barbara-Lynn & Dave are amazing, accomplished people and have lived truly fascinating lives; we so enjoyed our chats over breakfast. We are so happy we stayed and plan to visit again.
