Une cuisine raffinée et excellente: creamy pesto chicken tag, cedar plank salmon ou encore la seafod casserole... et pour attendre des scones à tomber ! Le cadre est splendide et le personnel souriant et sympathique. Pas donné mais il faut savoir se faire plaisir, et ici ça vaut le coup!

Beautiful view, good service. The food is good at the restaurant. Unfortunately we had some special experience when staying in the chalet. There's some water from the roof dripping down on our bed after my children having a hot tub shower upstairs. The construction and design are not good enough. I call the front desk and I was told every unit is like that so we had better not making the floor wet. But how? It's a shower room. They didn't even tell us in advance when we check in. It'll be better if they have a reminder telling us not using the hot tub or else you can't sleep on the bed at downstairs. They said there're no room service because it was too late at 7:50pm so a nice guy helped us to get all the sheets out and put a plastic on the bed and asked us to wait until no water dripping down. Then we put all the sheets by ourselves. My kids are happy. For the condition of the chalet, honestly not worth it.

The restaurant came highly recommended by a friend and it did NOT disappoint. The evening started with Baked Brie and it just got better as the evening progressed! The Chicken Tagliatelle was flavourful and the portion was filling. The Halibut with the lentils was a perfect combination of flavours! Each meal was perfectly paired by NS wine from their wine list. Now, the Lemon Lavender Cheesecake! The Cheesecake was an experience that I would suggest you don’t skip, it was a perfect way to end dinner with a coffee. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. A true pleasure to have dined at Pictou Lodge!

My husband and I went as a gift from his son and family to celebrate his 60th (and my 56th). Wonderful setting. Staff are courteous and know when to give you space. Food was AMAZING!! My husband and I both got the 12oz steaks (to have left overs for the dog)...nope. No leftovers. Once the food arrived my husband did not touch his second beer until done eating - and the conversation consisted off "yum yum sounds" and my husband saying it was the best steak hes had in some time - cooked to perfection! I am.nkt adventurous with food but tried the sides that came with and was so glad I did. Everything was so fresh and flavorful.
It was not a cheap meal - but worth every cent! (And there are cheaper options on the menu).
We can not wait to return.
Only drawback was we were seated over a vent blowing cool air - at first I did not mind it (hate being hot) but know my husband would have been uncomfortable from the start. Towards the end of the meal I was becoming uncomfortably chilled and wished I'd brought a light sweater or something. Despite this I'm still giving 5 stars because the food and service really was exceptional!.

In this time of employee shortages I feel Pictou Lodge has found the absolute cream of the crop. The attention they paid to the many food allergies at our dining table was over the top, going to the kitchen to confirm various things. And the accommodations are awesome. This was our third visit and I must say each one just gets better. Keep it up. You are great.

Considering the good things I had heard about the place once finally going I found that overall for the price it was poorly put together. The suites weren't very nice in comparison with other places for the same price and the restaurant wasn't much to rave about either. Had the lobster mac and cheese and it left more to be desired. I've had better from food trucks. Lots of potential but the nicest thing about his place is the ocean views. Which i suppose is what attracts those who aren't locals.

This beautiful lodge is steeped in history with famous people and royalty. The setting is sitting on a hill overlooking the Northumberland Straight and a view of fishing boats as well as the PEI ferry going back and forth. The log cabin style with friendly staff is very warm and inviting. The food leans towards the edge of fine dining but with reasonable prices and great portion size for the value. We had a party of four and each of us had an appetizer, main and dessert. Everything was excellent! The drinks both alcoholic and non were very flavourful! I would highly recommend giving Pictou Lodge, restaurant a try!!

Pictou Lodge has some stunning views, excellent food and beautiful areas to stay. If your looking for a nice getaway then this place is a must. Every weekend we look there is some form of an event or wedding. On the day of these photos we stopped in for their brunch. The portions were great but not overly so. The Shipbuilders Breakfest was my all time favorite and more food then I could ask for (the banana bread french toast was a shock to my system, could of ate a loaf worth). Definitely 5 star worthy !
