The Pika is the only B&B in Cochrane, and badly needed because the hotels in town are mediocre at best. The Pika could also be mediocre but it is not! It is lovely. The B&B is warm, comfortable, beautifully decorated. The rooms were very comfortable. In fact, we asked what kind of mattresses we were sleeping on! It has a great location. If you are motivated (since Pika is on a hill), you can walk to downtown Cochrane. Otherwise, it is just a couple of minute drive. The B&B is owned by a young German couple, Eric and Heike. They were so friendly and warm, it was like staying with extended family. My husband, son and mother in law stayed during the week of the American Thanksgiving. When Eric and Heike learned that we would not be together for Christmas so they offered to let us decorate their Christmas tree together. They could not have been nicer. We could not have been happier. Thanks Eric and Heike!! The Clarks.

This was my first experience at a B&B and we were totally spoiled. I met up with my cousin from California to get reacquainted and to enjoy the Calgary Stampede. Eric was a wealth of information on places to go in Calgary, shortcuts for getting to & from the city, as well as introducing us to Früschoppen. We were lucky enough to have Heike with us for our stay since she is usually gone out guiding. This adorable young couple treated us like family & we were so happy to share their two furry cats, Buzzy & Bijou. The house was spotless & the beds were very comfortable. It was great enjoying a glass of wine out on the deck while the sun set. I could go on & on, but it all comes down to my cousin & I having THEE best eight days of vacation because of Eric, Heike & the Pika B&B.|I am grateful to have met you both,|Gaylene

Das geräumige Pika B&B liegt nur eine Autostunde vom weltberühmten Banff Nationalpark entfernt. Auch andere paradiesische Ziele sind innerhalb kürzester Zeit zu erreichen. Man sieht Silhouette der Berge bereits von dem kleinen Hügel, auf dem sich das B&B befindet. Das Pika B&B ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Tagesausflüge in die Rocky Mountains. Das gesamte Haus ist sehr stilvoll eingerichtet und wir hatten ein sehr gemütliches und liebevoll eingerichtetes Zimmer Das Badezimmer befindet neben den Zimmern und verfügt über eine Badewanne/Dusche und Waschbecken. Die Gastgeber Eric und Heike waren sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich, geben gern Tipps und teilen Geschichten aus ihrem Leben in Kanada. Nach Wunsch können auch Touren mit Heike gebucht werden, da sie Wanderausflüge / Schneeschuhlaufen über Pika Adventures anbietet. Heike und Eric stammen ursprünglich aus Deutschland, wohnen aber schon viele Jahre in Kanada, daher verfügen sie über ein reiches Repertoire an örtlichen Ausflugszielen, auch außerhalb der typischen Touristenattraktionen. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und können dieses B&B nur weiterempfehlen. Wir wären gern länger geblieben.

Contacted a spoke to Heike and she took our booking immediately with no problems. Directions were very good and we were met when we arrived. Once one of the rooms upstairs is booked they do not book the other room, unless they have a family. We had sole access to the upstairs bathroom next to our very quiet and comfortable room. The house was immaculate and we loved the Christmas decorations and music each morning. Breakfast was amazing and just what we wanted. Heike and Eric were superb hosts and we enjoyed our morning and afternoon conversations. We could not have asked for better hosts and better accommodation. Thank you !!!

We stayed at the Pika BB at both the beginning and the end of our PIka tour. The accommodation was excellent and Erik and Heike were brilliant hosts and couldn't have been more friendly. The accommodation was excellent We do recommend this BB if you want a great experience on a visit to Cochrane and the Rockies.

Vielmehr als eine Unterkunft bietet dieses B&B ein "zu Hause" für seine Gäste. Die Gastgeber Heike und Eric haben das Haus liebevoll eingerichtet, sind exzellente Gastgeber und bieten interessante Einblicke über das Leben in Kanada. ||Als ausgezeichnete Wanderführerin kann Heike mit Tips und Touren abseits der Touristenpfade aufwarten, so z.B. zum "Moose Mountain" bekannt aus dem Oskar gekrönten Film "Brokeback Mountain" oder in die Rockies. ||Ein Ort zum wohlfühlen und eintauchen in das "echte Leben" Kanadas.

I have no hesitation in recommending "Pika Bed and Breakfast" for a fantastic experience in Cochrane and the nearby Rocky Mountains. Eric and Heike are wonderful hosts. The house is tastefully decorated and the rooms are cosy and comfortable.

Heike and Eric welcomed us into their home like family. Even though we arrived later than expected us they greeted us like long-lost cousins, settled us in and gave us advice on we're to find a meal after a long day of driving. Comfy beds and a delicious and plentiful European-style breakfast were exactly what we needed to help us on our trip north.
