Stayed here this past weekend and it was the first time in my 18 years enjoying the Okanagan I have ever stopped in Peachland. Found the PineWood B&B for a great price and was very happy with our stay! The room was nice and clean, It had its own entrance for the rooms and was very secure and private. The Hosts were very nice and made it a pleasure staying at their B&B. We will definitely be back, great value for the money and a great secure, clean room.

So the negative first - The b and b is not so much a b and b at the moment but simply a guest house (no b). It is difficult to find. With no clear name just a number on the post and then down a gravel track. Either parking spaces at the bottom or top of house require walking up/down steep steps so not recommended for anyone with walking difficulties or those taking huge amounts of luggage. ||Our bathroom was separate from our room down a short corridor, not so much of an issue as we have stayed everywhere from camps, yhas to 5 star places but some might not like this. ||The rooms are a little chintzy (but this is personal preference) and on the plus you can see how well they look after the place as there's no dust.||They also lack thick curtains or black outs as the blinds just let in a lot of light at morning. But the rooms have lots of furniture and little things which shows they have really listened to other reviews I.a. clocks, table, chairs, side lights, storage and instructions! ||The place is about 3 minute drive up hill. And no you can not safely walk into town from here. The hill is very steep and there is no sidewalk. ||On the plus - reasonably priced accomodation for Canada and this area. Amazing views from the balcony. You are left to your own devices and given a key which is great. There is a small shared kitchenette unit with fridge, microwave, kettle and utensils/plates. ||You can make use of the bbq and there's space to hang up laundry (useful for us!). ||There is a nice 1 hour walk further up hill called pincushion trail. ||The owners really leave you to it but are there is you need them or have any questions.||Would def recommend a stay in peachland. It's beautiful place. We probably would recommend a short stay in this accomodation simply for the great views and cost compared with stays directly on the beach road (plus it gets you away from any crowds)

I wish we had read the previous review before booking. One night was enough; we will not be back either! The best part was the beautiful view from the balcony at breakfast, but everything else was mediocre. For example, the $5 per person breakfast included a tiny Tupperware container of fruit to be shared by 2 people -- quite the joke, considering this is Peachland in summertime. ||||There is absolutely no signage for this bed and breakfast; we drove around for a few minutes and stopped at a run-down looking house to ask for directions -- turns out, we were at the B and B! (There's no signage on the house, and no directional signage either.) Like the previous reviewer, we were told to park at the bottom of a very steep hill, at night, and climb the winding, terraced steps to the property. (We were told we could have parked at the top, except "my husband's vehicle is parked there," according to the owner.) There is ONE toilet to be shared by 2 or 3 guest rooms. In all the B and Bs we have stayed in throughout Canada, the US, and Europe, we have NEVER been expected to share one toilet between that many people. Thankfully, the other guests booked in for our night had cancelled; otherwise it would have been horrible. The shower is tiny; I kept bumping my elbows and I am not a large person. The other shared facilities are dismal as well: tiny kitchenette that I think it a converted closet/wet bar; common room from which you can clearly hear the owners upstairs, with a TINY (under 13 inches), old tube TV and Sears catalogues from 2010 (amongst tonnes of other random clutter), and I have no idea where other guests are expected to park since there isn't even adequate space for one car. ||||As for our room...the "queen" bed is actually two old twin beds pushed together, and they are different heights, so forget it if you're looking for a romantic getaway. The blinds in our room were broken, so I had to manually close each slat, and they were filthy. There is very little space to put any of your things (book, laptop etc.) because all the surfaces are cluttered with random tchotchkes. The reading lights were too dim, and there wasn't even a mirror (I don't know how in the world guests are supposed to get ready while sharing one bathroom and absolutely no mirrors in the guest rooms). We only stayed one night, so I can't comment as to the housekeeping standards i.e. garbage pickup; fresh towels, etc.||||Immediately after our 9am breakfast, the owner explained that she needed to go to work, and it felt like she was basically pushing us out the door because she needed to make sure her property was securely locked etc. before leaving for her shift. I felt like if she is charging $80-$90 a night, she should be more accommodating -- we are paying guests, on vacation, and since most accommodations have a checkout time of 11 or 12, this was pretty unacceptable. The owner was very pleasant, but I don't think she understands what is involved in running a quality bed and breakfast. ||||In summary, it felt like we were ripped off by someone who is trying to make a few extra bucks on the side (it's a cash-only operation) without having the time, resources, or customer service orientation to run an acceptable bed and breakfast. I'm sure there are several other lovely accommodations for the same price in Peachland, and we can't wait to return, except next time we will stay at a legit B&B!

Owners should spend a weekend in their rentals. We found it could be easily improved with little things like an alarm clock, clean towels daily, taking our garbage daily, not too much to ask I think. The tv was very small and very staticy. I had asked ahead if there was a coffeepot in the room and was told yes there was a kitchenette only to get there and discover that it is down the hall to be sharred with the 3 other rooms (I would have brought my own). They also want you to park at the bottom of the road and walk up-in the dark I don't think so. The shower is very small . The bedside lamps were so dim they were useless for reading. The large window was nice during the day for the view but needs room darkening curtains for the morning light which wakes you up with the brightness! Overall I was disappointed.

I was just looking for a clean, cheap place to sleep, and this place fulfilled that, but I won't stay here again. I lucked out that I was the only one there. No mirror in the room was very annoying. The bed was uneven with two twins pushed together, and too soft. The blankets were too heavy for August, and there was no control for air conditioning. I would stay there only if there were no other option in any of the neighbouring areas.

Beatiful location. Nice view over okanagan lake. We had the 'king room'. Really clean and tidy. 3 minutes drive to supermarket. The owners of the house were friendly. I defintely would recommend this place for your holiday.

Loved our time and the Pinewood Guesthouse. The owners were kind and the room was great, with a king bed and private bathroom. The view from the balcony is fabulous!
