Honestly the worst mattress I have ever slept on in my entire life. And I have slept in many cheap hostels.
So the good parts first:
It was clean. The bathroom was quite nice and there was a balcony. Friendly room cleaners.

Negative parts:
No bowls. Seriously what hotel does not have bowls for this kind of price.
The price. The value for price is just not worthed.
The air-conditioning and the refrigerator were very noisy.
Check in manager could not even tell us where to park.
And the worst of the worst: the mattress. You could feel every spring in the mattress. It was just horrible.

All in all definitely not a recommendation. You're better off going to Trickle Creek Lodge

Stayed at Polaris for 5 nights over the Christmas holidays and genuinely enjoyed our time here. Only steps from the chairlift, beautiful, clean and spacious 1 bedroom unit with a full kitchen, equipped with dinnerware for 4 people, some pots and pans, wine glasses etc., large flat screen TV and a comfy king size bed. Staff was very friendly and accommodative, whenever we asked for some extra items they always delivered. The building is small and quiet; only a short walk from the Trickle Creek Hotel for those who would like to take advantage of the gym and swimming pool. Overall a great place to stay as a family, I highly recommend it and will come back.

Attended a wedding on the mountain top and booked at Polaris Lodge so we could be close to all the venues. The room was beautifully decorated, huge with full kitchen and inhouse ice maker. Separate bedroom was great with a king size bed. Wrap around veranda had chairs, a barbeque and overlooked the ski hill and chair lift. Everything was provided and clean and housekeeping asked if we needed anything and to contact them if we did. The restaurant on sight was delicious, but knowing it had a full kitchen we brought our own food for breakfast and lunch. Underground parking was safe and the elevators were awesome, especially since we were on the third floor. Even though check-in and check-out was at Trickle Creek Lodge - a 5 min. walk it was fine.I would definitely recommend staying here when travelling to Kimberley.

So convenient for ski in/ ski out. Parking underground is heated and convenient. Room was clean upon arrival and space was very adequate. If you're planning to cook, the Kitchen supplies are limited. No basics like salt, pepper or oil etc. Dishes were also limited...only 3 bowls, few glasses, pans etc. Staff replenished soaps etc, but does no cleaning and things like toilet brushes are not provided.

We have stayed in these condos for many years and we were very disappointed with our stay this week. We booked a king suite, had a queen, boiler problems with pool and hot tub, room overlooked very noisy air conditioner and parking lot. Bed in 209 was like sleeping on straw. We have always had great room, excellent beds, overlooking the ski hill. Requested this change but we’re told do to COVID only the one room was made up and no housekeeping available. We paid full price for the substandard room. Restaurant closed Mon to Wed. With fewer people travelling now is the time to put your best out there for great reviews and word of mouth. As stated very disappointed.

The Polaris Lodge is at the base of the Kimberley Alpine Resort, the rooms are nice, there is a restaurant inside that has changed a few times but is always good, you can even ski right down onto the deck in the winter. It had great access to the hill and ski lift. The parking lot can leave a little bit to be desired but overall it's fine. The staff are friendly and this last weekend there were activities on in the deck which included face painting and a giant outdoor screening of Incredibles 2.

That was another year of our winter trip to Kimberley. I can't even tell how many years in a raw we stayed here, probably a bit less than 10.||Year after year we feel more like home. Every year we stay with group of our friends at Polaris and Trickle Creek Lodge for several days. ||You will find everything you need to keep you busy with your winter activities. Just steps away from the Northstar Express, if you are into downhill skiing; same with fat bike trails; minutes away from Nordic Skiing centre, if you like cross county skiing and access to countless trails if you just want to encounter nature and walk away from civilization or perhaps just walk down to town centre - also in walking distance. RCR offers wide variety of sport equipment for rent at its rental store in the same building. Both Polaris and Trickle Creek Lodges offer underground, heated parking. Trickle Creek Lodge also offers pool activities if you feel like forgetting the winter.||Staff is extremely friendly and striving to make you stay as comfortable as possible. Due to our specific needs for our little celebration we always ask for specific accommodation. Sometimes it is a challenge and requires special arrangements but the staff tries to accommodate us and I need to say, it usually happens with only some exemptions. ||We love this location and service, therefore we are coming back for our little Christmas celebration with group of friends and family every year.

We stayed here for three nights to do some family skiing.||Check-in tip: Drive into the resort, and into the car park and follow the road around the back of the car park to the front door of the Trickle Creek Lodge. You need to check in here. The Polaris Lodge is a few minutes walk away.||Polaris Lodge is ideally situated for the ski slopes – it is essentially ‘ski in ski out’. There is a self-service eatery on one floor and a restaurant with servers on another. There is a ski rental shop in the building, and the lift pass office is at the back of the building. The locker storage area for ski equipment is sensibly located, and the door opens onto the slopes. ||The room (210B) was large but the bed was quite uncomfortable – far too soft for my liking and lumpy. It was also one of those double beds which is composed of two single beds zipped together and so there is a hollow in the middle. The bedsheets also didn’t seem to fit the bed very well, with the result that the sheets came off the bed very easily.||The room was large enough to have had a seating area in it, and it was a shame that this had not been added.||The room is incredibly poorly lit – at one point I had to turn the television on in order to get enough light to see what I was doing at the desk.||The bathroom was equipped with an adequate range of amenities, and there are plenty of (rather thin) towels.||Polaris guests can use the gym, the swimming pool and the hot tubs at the Trickle Creek Lodge, and there are pool towels available at the reception desk there. There are also changing facilities.
