From the outside of the building my expectation were low. Peter was a gem, very accommodating and helpful. The room was a nice size, very clean. I couldn’t fault the cleanliness whatsoever. A few touch ups could be made but for the price you couldn’t really go wrong. There was fresh water bottles and coffee in the room also.The only issue I had was there is no wifi which was a disappointment.

DO NOT BOOK HERE!
Went to a weekend sports tournament in Port Alberni. Booked here through Expedia. The building is boarded up and fenced off.

Don't go if you can find another option. We didn't get the room we payed for. A door impossible to lock communicated with another room ans peoples open it twice when we where in. We were supposed to have a family room with a private washroom and we had a small room very hot with no ventilation and no washroom. Internet dosen't work. There's no office, you need to call but Peter can come fast if needed. The room was clean but everything around the room looks creepy. Very very noisy!

I feel like their low rating is pretty harsh. Laura was a dream. The room was actually surprisingly decent, maybe low expectations from the rating but not anything I'd turn away from. Pretty clean. Maybe some random things here and there that could be touched up on, but nothing really disturbing your stay. The room is hot as balls in summer heat with no AC, but also had two fans to stave off some of it. The bar attached was the best. Sherry was a gem. Would definitely rate this place a 3.5/5. Would come back and stay.

Hotel stole my $80. After booking on Expedia I was told I would get check in info within 24hrs… never received it. The hotel phone inbox is also completely full so they just give you the run around and scam you. Don’t book

I did not listen to the reviews about this place, please DO NOT stay there and if you booked online immediately ask for your refund. The customers, the bartenders all told me the owner of the hotel scams you out of your money and your room. I booked online and waited in the pub downstairs for 3 hours, the owner finally comes back and try to offer me a refund for the room and nothing for my time waiting there. RUN from this hotel and I am very sorry if you have booked and are not being offered a refund from the party you have booked through.

don't go there.
I had booked for a room with bathroom and we received a room with shared bathroom. the wifi doesn't work, it's dirty, no air conditioning and too hot to sleep well. there was a door in our room that we couldn't lock that led to the next room. the neighbors could open it!

Wir kamen im Port Hotel am Abend an. Es ist schlecht zu finden. Als wir aussteigen ertönte laute Hardrock Music, welche aus der Kneipe im unteren Teil des Hauses kam. Wir betraten das ,,Hotel". Es war in keinster Weise einladend, denn die Musik verfolgte uns dröhnend bis nach oben. Niemand war da, den man hätte ansprechen können, außer zwielichtige bekifftwirkende Gestalten, welche um das Gebäude herumlungerten.Es war nicht sauber und kam uns so vor, als wären wir in einem ,,Stundenhotel" gelandet. Schnell verließen wir das Gebäude und fanden im Ort ein ruhiges und sauberes Gästehaus. Egal um die 120 Euro für 2 Nächte. Unser Fazit: Bloß nicht !!!
