All the reviews were really bad so I brought my own towel and my own pillow. The experience was way better than I expected. The desk clerk was friendly and awesome. There were no towels in my room. Good thing I brought mine. The pillows looked fine. Bed was pretty squishy but you know, the hotel is cheap.

Security deposit required, no problem, but I was promised to be given back and never received despite reaching out to property multiple times. Early check in costed $84 and was told it was $25. It’s calculated by the hours you check in early, NOT a set fee, which we weren’t informed. No breakfast, no vending machine, and no ice machine. A few positives were, there was free parking in the parking lot and close to good food. Be careful

Families/ person be aware there is seedy activety inside and out f this hotel. You may not want your children or kids to be around there.
Was confronted (very quietly) to purchase illegals there. Once inside and once outside. Not ok. Pretty stupid of them, lucky I wasn't a cop !

This will be the first 1star I have ever given.
The 1 room was dirty, then he put us in a second room that was not mch better.
Crumbs on the counter.
No hand towel
No face cloths
Body towel old and discolored
Bed slept comfy, but sheets weren't spotless to say the least.
No light bulbs in lamps.. even after I asked.
They do not serve breakfast anymore.
I got misplaced in hallway, this guy ask me if
If we didn't just drive 15 hours... we would have never stayed. I've slept in 2 stars many times and had no problems.
Be careful

This hotel was a nightmare. Not only was I given a completely different room than I booked, but they had the audacity to charge me twice for the one room. They refused to give me the room I booked without charging me again. They refused to give me a refund. Not accounting the charges and wrong room, the room we were given was disgusting. The table and chair were covered in dust, fingerprints, and crumbs. The molding was coming off of the wall and only one light in the bathroom worked. Please avoid this scam!

I booked the Premier Inn Hamilton last minute on the 30th of November so as my partner and I could stay in Hamilton rather than facing a long drive back to Toronto. I searched the web for the best price available which surprisingly only $79! Fantastic! The website recommended call for a better quote in which I jumped at the opportunity. Upon calling I spoke with a lady who informed me the $79 was American Dollar and also that particular booking was for December 2nd. This was frustrating but we needed a place to stay and park our car so I decided to just buy the bullet. I asked how much a room was for the current day and she informed me $140 Canadian. A double room. I inquired how much a King would be and she said $160 all in. That it has extras such as a jacuzzi in the room etc. I decided then to treat ourselves even though we wouldn’t be there for most of the evening. When we arrived at the hotel I was a little shocked to see the huge sign outside the premises is broken and you can only 50% of what should be there. First red flag. When we got our key card we were excited to see a “King Suite” only to walk into what I would consider a construction site. From no tiles on the jacuzzi walls, electrical cables sticking out of holes loose, one roll of toilet paper with maybe 5% leftover, a shower that hasn’t been cleaned in possibly years, only one towel for the whole room that wasn’t folded and possibly used, no soap, shampoo or conditioner, extension cables left randomly around the room, the jacuzzi was filthy, furniture was chipped and broken, appliances did not work. Bed was semi made and we felt it was more than likely slept in prior to our arrival. We were so exhausted we just collapsed and slept a few hours. The next morning my key card wouldn’t work at reception to let me back in when I collected our Tim Hortons order. Two homeless men were looting the reception. They stole CCTV cables aswel as other things I’m sure. I felt terrified as one of them left me enter thankfully in which I quickly escaped to the room where my partner was and locked the door. After locking ourselves into the room we felt after 30 minutes surely the thieves would be gone and it safe to leave. Thankfully it was and the police had arrived. We traveled back to Toronto but told family about our traumatic experience. They highly recommended I contact the hotel and request a full refund. I have done so every day for the past 8 days. Numerous calls at different times of the day and still no management has responded. I also sent a detailed email of the whole event and still haven’t received anything back from them. I have spoken to a receptionist and he has told me numerous times he would call the manager and forward my emails. Nothing has been done. I also called Hamilton police as I think this is absolutely insanity but they have told me that there is nothing they can do. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to EVER stay in this hotel. It is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever ever experienced.

I resided at the Hotel which was once the Day's Inn , for a month. House cleaning is terrible. Very difficult to get clean bedding and, if you asked for toilet paper, you will get a roll. That is it. Even though you are there for a month you would think that you would be supplied with more. 1 broom and one mop . Clean your own room. Air conditioner in some rooms are on constantly and no way to turn it down because it needed a remote control and it was leaking water. Water running out of it all the time creates mold. Repair guy who I think resides there was supposed to fix it but that never happened. Hamilton has a lot of very clean Hotels and this is not the one that I would consider telling people to go to. No ice and no amenities what do ever.

Premier Inn & Suites - Downtown Hamilton is a terrible hotel. They act like scammers.

At check-in, they ask for a 210 CAD safety deposit, which they promise to return after checkout. However, they never refunded the deposit. For two weeks, they kept saying they were waiting for a manager to approve the refund, and then they said they wouldn’t process it online. I had to contact my bank to get my money back. Thankfully, my bank was able to help me recover it.

The hotel is dirty. In the Premier Inn & Suites - Downtown Hamilton parking lot, drug users and questionable people hang around, making it unsafe to leave your car. The clientele inside isn’t much different from those outside in the parking lot.

Think carefully before staying in this place, and if you do, consider how to prevent them from stealing your money.
