While the hotel was affordable and well located, I did not get any maid service during the 5 nights that I was there. I needed to go to the front desk to get fresh towels, toilet paper, coffee, and anything else.

My flight was cancelled and stayed at the Chateau Nova at West Jet's expense. It was the same price as the Quality Inn and Suites, in much better shape, staff was friendlier, and overall much better service.

No parking made it very difficult coming from edmonton, fan in room did not work at all and AC machine with Fan option was super noisy as a bearing was failing internally. Rooms were okay but very run down and used. Staff was super nice and very polite though, made my stay tolerable and let me park in front of doors due to the larger vehicle I was in (service truck). Due to no parking and room condition I would not stay there again unless it was my last option.

This is an old and well-worn hotel. While it looks as though the lobby has been relatively recently updated, there is no seating (and I realize why you do that), but there is no place to sit while waiting for the airport transfer, for example. Everything is worn, patched, damaged, lamps wobbly, carpets lumpy, (sometimes dirtly), and the first room I was in was STIFLING. There just seemed to be no way to control the temperature. The second room I was in, when I entered the room, there was a big pile of used sheets on the floor, which some housekeeping staff forgot to remove. Someone (I assume housekeeping staff) tried to enter my room just before 9:00 a.m. on the day of my departure. Didn't even knock first. Do they not double-check with reception to see who has checked out before they do this? Reception staff were hot and cold. The first turned from frosty to overly friendly. The second revealed too much personal information. The third ignored me as I stood there for several minutes. I know she was in the middle of something, but a simple "I'll be with you in a moment" would have gone a long way. She clearly did not have any customer service training. AND there was no place to eat. I know Ricky's was only steps away, but because of past experience, I do not patronize Ricky's. The only thing going for the Quality Inn is that it is conveniently located downtown.

Stayed here for 5 nights in October. Chose it based upon location, which is amazing. Pretty much anything that one needs is a short walk away (restaurants, souvenirs, grocery, pharmacy, etc).

During those 5 nights we did not see the maid once. Needed to go to the front desk for garbage bags, fresh towels, toilet paper, etc. We survived.

Rooms are dated yet functional.

There is absolutely no parking at this hotel, but you can get free street parking passes from the visitors' centre a short walk away.

I would stay again if for a shorter trip.

The hotel was very out dated. My room didn’t have A/C but I had an old fan mounted on the wall that roared when I turned it on. My room stayed about 27 C all night long. Tried to open the window but there was no screen and the window almost fell out when I opened it so I had to close it. The chair in the room was torn and had foam coming out of it. There was gum on the seat. The bathroom door was very difficult to close and there was pee on the toilet seat which I had to wash off before I could use it. The bed was very comfortable and seemed clean. The fire alarm had a light switch attached to it so it could be turned off if desired. Carpet was very old and stained throughout the hotel. There is no parking at the hotel.
