La réceptionniste est accueillante. La chambre est propre dans un lodge charmant en bois. Petit salon, salle a manget et cuisine communs mais comme on était les seuls nous avions une maison pour nous! Endroit accueillant pour les enfants avec jeux et carnets de dessins. Un plus baignoire a remous !! Je le conseille vivement!!

I had a fantastic time staying here for our church retreat! The manager was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The rooms were well-equipped with appliances and cooking utensils, making it easy for us to prepare meals. We were also delighted to see deer and peacocks roaming the site, adding to the charm of the place. One thing I wish was better was the wifi connection, it was kind of poor in the chalets. But overall, I recommend for those finding a chill and relaxing place when visiting Princeton:)

I'm seeing a lot of very bad reviews but our recent experience renting a cabin was quite alright. The price was reasonable and it was available on short notice. It was quite clean, everything worked, Della was very helpful, and there were no issues. Though it is true that there is a lot of deferred maintenance especially on the grounds, I think the price reflects that. For us it was cheaper than getting 2 of the very basic rooms in any of the motels in town, that is if we could even find 2 adjoining rooms. Since the little cabins by the river got flooded out (our go-to for the last 15 years), we would take this again over the other options in the area and in our budget.

My family booked this site for a special occasion in May 2023. We all unpacked and then were back in our vehicles heading home after 2 hours. Reasons- 1. Broken lock on one of the bedrooms 2. Bathroom out of order in another 2. The smell of pet urine and Pinesol was overwhelming. 3. Bedbugs! In more than one bed. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Obviously the owners do not care about this property. We had booked 5 months previously so we did not have a back up plan. Extremely disappointing and would never recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed here recently for a family getaway with over 10 people including four small children. It is a scenic place. Lots of activities for everyone , especially in the snow. The kids enjoyed playing in the snow and tobogganing. The cabin itself is nice. Huge patio. Kitchen was not so well appointed and was missing adequate cutlery and plates/cups as well as some cooking equipment. Staff was great at providing replacements when asked. There were only two bathrooms in the cabin which made for bathroom lineups at times, but was manageable. Overall, great place to stay.

I was near the end of leg 1 on save my brother from Vancouver shenanigans. I had a 30’ cargo trailer behind me and I had two dogs in the back seat. We were all exhausted. It was late, but they stayed in the office to check us in! They had a wide open spot for us to drop the trailer to then run around town to get things with just the truck. We were set up in the little love cabin at the end. Scenery was gorgeous! The cabin was something I’d like to build for guests on my acreage! Vaulted ceilings, jacuzzi tub, separate shower room, and the kitchen had everything you need!! After 10 hours on the road, I needed to loosen up like a giant spaghetti noodle…this was the only place with hot tub type things! Plus, it’s inside the cabin for privacy. Not like a large hotel where you share hot tub time with strangers lol. 10/10 will stay here when I’m close in the future! I’ve stayed at many places in BC in the past; I could easily make every stay feel like this one. Cabins provide audible privacy also! Much more so than thin walls in a hotel if you catch my drift 😉

My husband booked at the Castle Resort so we could spend the long weekend together, despite him having to work a day in Princeton. After booking, we read a bunch of poor reviews on Trip Advisor. HOWEVER, we had an amazing experience from our view on things. We booked cabin J, small one bedroom studio cabin (which does have a pullout sofa bed and full kitchen). It was in great shape, clean, with softer towels than we get in most brand name hotels. On demand hot water heater (we figure) filled jacuzzi tube in no time. Sky light above tub is just lovely. Private enough deck, nearby cabins well spaced, backs onto the creek. Rustic and quiet. There is a boil water advisory, but treated water provided in a clean normal blue water cooler jug with a hand pump. We did bring our own water after reading reviews, so we did just use our own water. Tap water seemed fine for showers and such, no issues there. Lots too explore on the grounds. Stone ruins are cool. Lots of wild life. Play equipment is maybe a bit rickety, but nothing we wouldn't have played on ourselves as kids. I did squeeze into their echo chamber, simple but cool! We did spend our free time more off the property checking out the Granite Creek ghost town site, and gold panning in town on the rivers. The young lady we met at front desk was great, and only a phone call away as she manages a large grounds. We have nothing bad to say, and will return. Their website doesn't do this place justice. The only thing we didn't figure out is the BBQ, which is a stone built outside grill-oven-thing, which may need charcoal which I don't see provided. Check this when booking.
