What a wonderful afternoon we had with our tour guide, Bruce. First, he was the only person willing to take us out in late October; everyone else was “done for the season”! But best, he was pleasant, knowledgeable, conversational but not overly so, took us to several islands, told us many interesting stories, both local and historical. It was truly a beautiful day. Highly recommend (& I rarely give 5 star reviews). Thank you, Bruce!

THE BEST!! I cannot say enough positive things about Bruce! We had a tour of Voyageurs NP scheduled with someone else, but they dropped the ball. I reached out to Bruce, and he scheduled an impromptu tour the next morning for us. Thank you very much for saving our trip!
He is not only personable, but his knowledge can’t be beat, and his passion is contagious. Just go ahead and book with him. You won’t regret it!!!

What a great time! It was our first time to Rainy and first time fishing for Walleye. Bruce made it easy and comfortable for us. He put us on fish immediately and it was nonstop fun. I felt bad for him as he constantly had to help my wife attach a minnow but that was because she kept reeling in fish. I think she caught 5 fish in total over 24", with one being over 26". Plus hooked into a Sturgeon but we couldn't landed that one on the lighter tackle.

Needless to say, we will be back. Bruce would be great for the experienced fisherman and is exceptional with the inexperienced.

Amazing experience with my dad and two sons. Bruce was awesome in every way: had us on big fish every day, great tours of the lake and surrounding area, and outstanding knowledge of the wildlife and history of Rainy Lake. And Bruce is just a great guy so it was fun spending the days fishing with him. We will be back next year for sure!

We had great time with our fishing guide Bruce in August . He was personable, friendly, and engaged in conversation. He shared some great fishing stories, area knowledge and history. The weather was great, we caught our limit. Would and will definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a good fishing trip. My husband and I had a great time fishing with Bruce on Rainy Lake! We initially thought we were going to fish for walleye, but when we told him we like to bass fish he took us to catch smallmouth! We caught them all evening and caught some northerners. I reeled in a 38” northerner! And we both impressed him with our casting skills 😉

Our family of four had a great time with Bruce on our half-day tour of Rainy Lake in Voyageur's N.P. Bruce knows where the best spots are for viewing wildlife. So many bald eagles and nests, loons, etc. He is a local and his family owned one of the islands. He will share a lot of the history of the place and will take you out to many historic and beautiful spots. If you want to see the park, this is the best way to do it! Highly recommend.

After fishing with captain Jean for over a decade, he never disappoints. He is a great guide and knows how to put you on fish. This trip had multiple PR’s on the boat as well as a limit of walleye to take home. Overall great experience with lots of laughs!
