The lodge is an "old school" ski lodge. It has a nice common area where guests can mingle around a wood fireplace. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Martin is a consummate host making all of his guests feel welcome. We stayed over a Saturday night during ski season and he hosted a bonfire with beverages. A generous continental breakfast was served every morning. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

A special lodge, and wonderful place. Private but communal, feels like a European B&B in the Rockies; mostly full of committed skiers or seekers of outdoor adventure. Great authentic mountain hosts and friendly guests with advice on the best trails. Also dog friendly.

The Inn was a great place for our group of 4 couples to stay. We enjoyed gathering in the common lounge area and having a nice continental breakfast together each morning. The owner, Martin, was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and the location convenient.

The hosts (Chris and Martin) and incredibly welcoming. The room was clean and quiet at night. Breakfast every morning before skiing was fresh and way better than your normal hotel breakfast. The hosts had some fun activities during our stay, which made us feel a part of the community.

If you’re looking for somewhere to stay on the mountain with character, this is it!

The hotel car (Mel) is very friendly and cuddly which is a bonus!

Would highly recommend this spot to anyone!! Especially anyone intending to ski Red Mountain or Black Jack's. You can't really park any closer to Red Mountain - their parking lot is next door.

Rams Head is a perfect atmosphere for those looking for the privacy and comfort of a nice room, while also providing an awesome fireplace common area and games room, sauna and got tub that you can enjoy with your own group of with others. Breakfast is a great time to meet the other skiers

The host, Martin, is excellent and serves a great breakfast. His lodge has plenty of character and will give you a feel for the history of Red Mountain. I know some of the photos look like the decor is a bit old, but it's clean and lifted and just adds to the character. I promise your bed will be comfortable and your room will feel like home.

This multi level, many rooms B&B is full of character and for our 5 night stay, lovely guests ranging from couples like us, to families, to singles. Our walk to the slopes was extremely easy. The entrance room to leave skis then walk into a furnished basement with a pool table where boots dried each night was perfect. The living area where a fulfilling buffet breakfast is laid out includes a comfy couch and chairs and a beautiful fire each morning and evening. One night we brought pizza back and watched old Warren Miller ski movies with other guests. Up another level where most rooms are, ours was cozy in size so my morning yoga was in the walk-in basement and to myself less a curious cat. But the dressers was sufficient and a bar size fridge and private bath is a plus for us. Bed was quite comfortable. Hot water for showers. The place was quiet each evening by 10pm latest. Hot tub and sauna- what more do you need? The Host, Martin, is pleasant and ensures his guests are content. He even builds fires outside which the young families enjoyed.

Had the best time at the Ram's Head Inn. First trip to RED mountain and wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else. Coolest hot tub I have ever seen!! The beds are super comfy and the rooms are so cozy. Love that this place is pet friendly and there are lots of dogs to pet. The complimentary breakfast is very good and the common area is a great place to meet new people. Amazing, friendly staff. Please note: if you are a snob who likes fancy hotels this is not the place for you, go stay at The Josie. However, if you are a fun loving person who wants to socialize and have a unique hotel experience you will love this spot!
