Came to Alliston for a funeral, felt like my own after staying here. Writing this at 2:39am on my first night here.

1. Workers live here, will go in and out of the hotel every 20-30 minutes during the night to smoke and loudly make themselves known - you will not get a good night sleep if you’re sensitive to sounds, and if you sleep like a log, this hotel could be a fun challenge. Ask for a room far away from exits and maybe house all workers in 1 building, they are so disruptive to hotel guests.
2. Mattresses are cratered to the point that laying in the bed will give you restless legs, terrible comforter and pillows feel like a bag 60% full of cotton balls. With the blaring noise and the bed, I’ve been staring at the ceiling for 6 hours, got a better sleep on the go train.
3. You will pay at least $150 for a regular room and an upwards of $450 for a king suite. THEY ONLY SERVICE EVERY 2 DAYS.
4. Pool is not open
5. Fire extinguishers are not inspected
6. Towels had some brown spots
7. Tap water did not taste right

When arriving we went in the wrong driveway and finding the Front Desk building was a bit confusing but it didn’t take long to figure it out.|I stayed one night simply to be able to shower as my place had been without running water for several days.|The shower/bath were remarkably clean.|Loved that there are pet friendly rooms and could have my dog with me.|There was a slight snowstorm the evening I was there.|An excellent job was done making sure parking lot was pliéed and sidewalks clear and salted.||My only complaints would be that-when I was taking a bath-I looked over and noticed the base of the toilet was not clean(top,seat and bowl were),I went to make a tea only to discover old teabags were still in coffee maker,was going to use hairdryer provided and found one side had melted so I was wary of how safe it was.|On the most part a pleasant stay.|Quiet and secluded.|I just think Cleaning Staff may need a quick retraining in regard to cleaning EVERYTHING (check coffee maker for old grinds or teabags clean entire toilet)|If it weren’t for that I’d have given 5 stars.

Stains on the blankets, half a roll of toilet paper in the washroom.. made me think the cleaning wasn't completed before renting me the room. The lady at the front desk made it seem like I was being admitted to jail the way she was talking to me. Key cards work 25% of the time. I've been to better places.

Do Not Book a Room here on a weekend *Unless* you intend on staying 2 nights! They Absolutely will refuse all 1 night reservations -- terrible GREEDY policy! They think that it is good business to Demand you book according to their policy over your own needs! Short Sighted!!! They will rather leave empty rooms for what!?!? Just in case(?) they loose a second night from another booking? 90% of ALL hotel bookings are 1 night stays and these guys Don't want that business!!!

Asked the manager to switch rooms because of the smell. He was very rude. Was told all the other rooms were corporate. The next morning when we got up there wasn't one car at these rooms. He could have accommodated us but chose not to

This hotel would *not* take my booking unless I was willing to pay for 2 nights even though I only needed 1 night! They were not at all willing to discuss, or bend, and they had plenty of vacancy! I have since come to understand that they will leave rooms vacant, if they can't Squeeze a customer to pay more than necessary! Why? just in case they miss a booking for two nights from someone else? This is a Greedy policy that amounts to abusive. They are putting themselves in front of the customer -- Not exactly a "service" Attitude!!!

Rooms need a complete overhaul. They are very smelly and outdated. We booked a single queen bed room and could NOT a stay in it. Got moved to a room with two queens which was slightly better. Cleanliness is about 3/5. Service at reception was exceptional, they were helpful and friendly. |I would not stay there again.
