We stayed at the Sheridan campus residence for a week while visiting family in Oakville. It was a great, affordable option and the double room suite was perfect for a family of 4. The double beds were comfortable with okay bedding. Each bedroom was very spacious with a desk and shelving and chairs. The towels were a bit thin and institutional, and bathroom lacked hooks/shelving but was a good size (shower only). We were glad for the kitchen area with sink, fridge and microwave in the unit, and mostly prepared food there. We brought our own coffee maker and borrowed a toaster. We had brought pots but were dismayed at how far the kitchen on our floor was from our unit. The whole building is a giant C shape, and we were at one end and everything situated at the other end on our floor (it felt like a ton of walking). We used the communal kitchen once, but it was crowded due to a group using it. It had 2 stoves, a fridge, and a couple of small tables, but not conducive to cooking then transporting everything back to the unit. The games room was on our floor, with ping pong and pool table, but it was booked by the group and not available for everyone else's use some of the time (would have been nice to be forewarned on arrival that it was not available). Great laundry room on every floor. Wifi was good and easy to use. The parking was included, but located pretty far away- we often dropped half the group off at the entrance with groceries rather than walk from parking. Front desk staff were welcoming and well informed.

This is a nice, economical place to stay. Rooms are big, clean and spacious. Staff was very nice and friendly, and dealt immediately with a Security parking ticket I received in the assigned lot.

The only downside was the TV had no signal. Appeared to be satellite service. There was some weather forecast coming in and it would have been nice to get even just 1 local channel to see what was happening. Perhaps access to a digital, over the air channel(s).

Also, the reservation information did not include any directions to the actual residences. After driving around a bit, I had to call the front desk to see how to get to the proper door. A suggestion is to have a map included and some directions. If you follow the main signs, you get trapped in the parking lots. If you go in off Trafalgar Road, you end up in front of two large buildings, but the residence is a different building and the doors are at the back (Perhaps I should say the back of the residences face Trafalgar Road, not the front). Anyways, other than that, we enjoyed our stay and were most grateful for the people at the service desk for electrically opening the doors for us, as we had lots of luggage. Made things a lot easier. I'd stay here again. 🙂

Super quiet location with crickets, cute bunnies and skunks wandering at night (August). We loved the nature all around with the student college atmosphere. Brought back great memories of our younger days. Free parking with a 2-min walk in a security monitored school parking lot (20–50 cars per night). Full size fridge was great for a 10 night stay. Reception desk happily lent us electric kettle for hot water, iron with folding table, free single use laundry detergent, hair fan - all these during our entire stay, not just one night. Air conditioning in hallways, but we turned it off in our room because we wanted outside air circulation. Many vending machines, sitting areas, luggage dollies, extra garbage drop offs at the large lobby area. Card swipe hallway entry made us feel secure at night. Many pay washers/dryers in laundry room. Full kitchen with electric stove available which we did not use since we had microwave oven/fridge kitchenette in our room. Wi-Fi everywhere (students) with a two layer password setup worked well and reliable - yesss.

Perfect low-cost alternative to a traditional hotel room. Yes, the mattresses are dorm room mattresses and not great, yes the towels are thin (I pack my own travel towel- fixes that!), but to have a fridge and freezer, microwave, etc. for the price it just can't be beat!
There is even a "gym" (a room with 2 treadmills and 2 2llipicals plus some weights), and a coin-op laundry. The campus has nice trails for walking or running, and it's really close to anything you might need.
We've used them for one-night stays and for that they are awesome. I couldn't imagine sleeping for a week on that bed, but everything else is great.

GPS led us to the location easily. A friendly summer student personally took us to the entrance and made sure the check in attendant opened the door for us. Easy, friendly check in and free parking. Super clean rooms. I had read to bring our own cups and kitchen items so no problem there. Comfortable beds; awesome pillows. I absolutely would stay again. I loved that I had my own room and could play my sleep app and not disturb my travel companion as the second bed was in a completely separate room! Ditto on waking early and making coffee. There are restaurants close by but keep in mind this is residence and conference centre and not a full facility hotel. This is a great place to stay!

This is not a hotel but we had a great stay. Only difference with regular hotels is no TV in room and no breakfast. I would definitly come back to this location, great price and close to everything we needed. Staff was helpful and available.
