This was our first time ice climbing, so we booked the basic beginner's guide to ice climbing with Patrick. We were lucky to have some much-needed snow in mid-March as we did our climbing, it made for an absolutely picturesque adventure. Patrick was so clear with his instruction, focused on safety, and one of the most encouraging guides we've ever had. He is amazing with kids, too. Unforgettable Mount Robson Adventure – A True Lifetime Highlight!
I was incredibly lucky to take part in a 4-day guided tour on Mount Robson – and without a doubt, it was one of the best experiences of my life!
The guide, Patrick Lindsay, was absolutely outstanding. From the very beginning, I felt completely safe and in good hands. His experience, calm demeanor, and professionalism gave me confidence, even in the more challenging sections.
The tour was perfectly organized – from the route and pacing to food and logistics.

My partner and I did a private lesson with Ridgeline Guiding, and having climbed with many guides over the years I can say that Patrick was hands down one of the best instructors I have had. I left the day with way more than I expected to learn, and his feedback was tailored and focused on helping each of us climb more efficiently and in the end safer. Even if I knew more experienced partners to climb with in Banff, I'd still enjoy starting the season off climbing with Patrick. Patrick is a great teacher, and knows his stuff. My wife and I headed out with him on a private tour on our honeymoon and had an absolute blast. We didn't want any crowds and wanted more of a "real deal" experience for our first climbing experience and he delivered.
