Booked a family vacation there and had the kids super excited for hot tub and smores around the fire. Just got a kitten so made sure to book a pet friendly chalet. Then received a call saying there was a “glitch” in the system and that they only had one night available. (Which by the way their policy says weekend stays are 2 night minimum so not sure how that happened) I had to completely change our plans and stay at a hotel in gander for one night. Saturday morning before driving there Christa calls and says she wants to take payment for Saturday night. Confirms the details and she says oh there is no pet chalet available. I explained I booked a pet friendly chalet, then she says well it’s no cats allowed it says on the website (which I can’t find anywhere, except no farm or exotic animals). She begins to argue about how the glitch wasn’t her fault and it was the system and online says no cats and we wouldn’t have been able to stay anyway, and starts all these excuses when I say I drove across the island planned this family vacation and if you aren’t able to help why are you wasting both of our time arguing if there can’t be anything done. It was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I would not recommend.

Beautiful chalet on Exploits river. Nice outdoor hot tub. Only 1 bathroom. No one in our group wanted to sleep upstairs because there was no bathroom up there, even though there was plenty of room for one. Poor design and lots of wasted space in the only bathroom. Very small shower. Would not recommend for more than couples.

This was a great place to stop mid way for our cross Newfoundland ATV trip. The chalets are absolutely beautiful and very well up kept. There lots of onsite activities like rafting and hot tubs if you’re up for it. The owner and staff are very friendly. Just be warned there is no air conditioning, the wifi didn’t seem to work while we were there and cell service was poor. Non of those were a concern for us so we will certainly stay here again! Love this place!

Great place, love the contactless check-in. Clean, neat set up, hot tub as advertised, fire ban that day so couldn’t do fire, but that’s not their fault.|Biggest fault is lack of privacy. Fence is see thru to your neighbor, and hot tub is at back corner of your lot so privacy is negligible. The missus was not thrilled with the bathroom, as there is no ceiling so I could everything she did in there while I was in the rest of the unit.|We also had 2 sets of people walk thru out lot while we were in the hot tub: these were people staying in nearby chalet who were trying to get to the river to swim and didn’t realize/didn’t care that it was our lot.|A complaint to management was met with “talk to them, as we don’t know who exactly it was so we can’t do anything.” So, we can’t help you, so talk to them and maybe escalate a situation? Not cool.||Overall, decent experience. Fie on management for being unwilling to help with a privacy issue and that’s why they lose a star.

Riverfront Chalet's boasts a stunning and beautiful spot on the Exploits River, offering a peaceful and quiet retreat perfect for immersing yourself in nature. However, our stay was marred by several issues that left us quite disappointed.

Upon arrival, we were surprised to discover that nothing seemed to be working. The Wi-Fi was down for the entire duration of our stay, the TV was non-functional, the BBQ wouldn’t light, and the locks on the main door felt rather sketchy.

The biggest deal breaker, however, was the lack of air conditioning. These styles of cabins or chalets are designed to trap heat, and with no air conditioning to combat Central Newfoundland's unrelenting summer heat and humidity, sleeping there was extremely unpleasant. The provided fans only circulated the hot, humid air, making it a miserable experience. If you're planning to stay here during the summer months, I highly recommend looking for a place with air conditioning.

On a positive note, the staff are very friendly and eager to help, and the site offers a fire pit and hot tub, which can be enjoyable.

Overall, while there are some positive aspects, the lack of functional amenities and the extreme heat make Riverfront Chalet's a stay we cannot recommend during the summer months. In cooler times of the year, it might be a decent stay, but for us, the summer experience was far from pleasant.

There were 4 of us stayed at the vacation chalet Wednesday night although the chalet and property was beautiful, we were a little disappointed in our stay considering it was almost 500 dollars a night! | The vacation chalet sleeps 6 but they only have 6 bath towels, with the hot tub outside those towels weren’t long getting soaked, then we had none to use for showers! When I voiced my concerns I was told they also leave a bunch of hand towels which we had to use to clean up the water on the floor! When leaving the hot tub and going inside your dripping quite a bit of water and they do not even leave a mop! If you plan on using the hot tub you might want to bring your own towel! | Our biggest concern was when we got up the next morning between 9:30 and 10am there was a man cleaning the hot tub, then he moved on to shovelling the back patio where he can see right into the chalet through a big window and patio door that has no curtains or blinds! He didn’t even bother to knock on the door and let us know he was there! When I voiced my concerns about this I was told pretty much that’s it that’s how it is and we could still use our hot tub before he came and after he was finished until check out at 11! However I work as a vacation rental manager and I know that was wrong he should have knocked on our door to let us know he was around! When we booked this chalet we booked this one because of the private hot tub! Not very private if someone is randomly gunna show up and drive you out for 1/2 hour! Check out time is 11 on the website and no where does it say anything about cleaning staff showing up early! We took our things and left this place is way over priced and we will not ever be returning!

We had a very nice visit at the Riverfront Chalets. The cottage was very spacious & clean. They offer river rafting & canoeing tours along the Exploits River.

They offer a nice outdoor shared hot tub to enjoy & a fire pit to enjoy the evenings.

There isn't much to do there around the property unless your planning on spending the whole day on the river. Especially for a family with children. There isn't a playground area for them to enjoy the outside.

The only real disappointing thing about this chalet is that it's not Pet Friendly. This makes it hard for families to commit to for accommodations as pets are usually taken with them at similar accommodations.

Amazing experience that we'll never forget. We've always wanted to go camping in a dome like this and riverfront chalets did not disappoint. The view was remarkable, there's a fire pit with wood provided that we really enjoyed, the hottub was clean and well enjoyed. The dome itself was very clean and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back here!! Thank you so much for this wonderful experience!
