J'ai adoré mon passage dans cette belle maison. La propriétaire a été très gentille et accomodante : comme j'ai dû quitter très tôt le matin, elle m'a laissé un petit lunch dans le frigo. Sinon, la chambre était superbe, le lit, confortable, et la maison avait une véranda avec une très belle vue sur la ville (à laquelle je ne m'attendais pas du tout). J'avais également une salle de bain privée. Je vais très certainement y retourner si je repasse par Hamilton. Merci pour tout ❤️

Rose Arden bed and breakfast is a delightful retreat located high on a hill with a great view of Hamilton. It’s within walking distance to several good restaurants. Gwen, the gracious host, ensures a warm welcome and goes above and beyond to make guests feel at home. The house exudes charm with its cozy ambiance and elegant decor. Each morning, Gwen & Ken serves up a delicious spread that perfectly sets the tone for a day of exploration. They were also very helpful with suggestions on where to go and where to eat. Rose Arden is a true gem for those seeking comfort, hospitality, and a memorable stay.

This was our first time staying at a B&B. The room was lovely, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. They readily accommodated my sister’s vegetarian preference. The view from the sunroom was so pretty. Great location to stay while exploring Ontario. Highly recommended for any weary travelers looking for a peaceful place to stay.

After a long flight and tiring journey from the airport (getting lost) in Toronto finding Gwen waiting on the door step was very welcome. Showing us the dining room and the main bedroom en suite. Although the bathroom only had a bath we were welcome to use the shower room next door. The bed was very comfy but you may need a stepladder to get up on to the top! There is a separate lounge are with fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and comfy chairs with views over the harbour and Toronto in the far distance. Sunset was lovelly. Breakfast was different with us being presented with a cooked plate with French toast (eggy bread), bacon and fresh strawberries. Gwen was aware one of us had a nut allergy but unfortunatey we did not mention one could not eat meat. A bit of discrete swapping and all was well. Toast followed with lovelly coffee which set us up for the day trip to Niagra. A lovelly place to stay and a quiet location and lovelly hosts.

Comfortabel huis, prima 1-persoons kamer met een heerlijk bed, eigen douche + toilet 🙂 vriendelijke en gezellige gastvrouw, de heer des huizes maakt het voortreffelijke ontbijt iedere ochtend. Aan alle wensen wordt voldaan. Ook goed te bereiken en niet te vergeten: een prachtig uitzicht over Hamilton 🌞 een aanrader!

We enjoyed our stay at the Rose Arden. The bed (Parisienne room) was extremely comfortable. If you desire a stand-up shower, choose a different room. Gwen is warm and friendly and offered helpful advice about local attractions and eateries. Ken's breakfasts were excellent and generous. The view of Hamilton (not scenic, for sure) from the upper porch is impressive, especially on a clear day when one can see Toronto in the distance. We highly recommend the Rose Arden if you're in Hamilton.

Rose Arden was a great choice. The hostess is amazing. She was most helpful and accommodating when we needed to make a 6AM flight and return at 1AM! She was kind and generous. The room was very clean and interesting. The breakfast were delicious and filling. The location on the Hamilton Mountain is convenient for the nearby hospital and Hamilton's Airport (YHM) is only 15 minutes away (maybe longer with traffic). The second floor sunroom also is very relaxing and has a nice view of the older part of Hamilton, the harbor, Tim Horton Field and the Skyway bridges! We will stay again when we are back in Hamilton.

Hostess Gwen went above and beyond ❣️ When we had an early flight the next morning, without asking she prepared two bagged lunches and kept them in the fridge so we could grab them and go at 4 am. We stayed a total of three nights, very quaint, beautiful decor, sparkling clean room each day, a fantastic view of the city. Gwen accommodated us when we arrived back in town at 2 a.m. Then upon our final anticipated long drive home she offered us some muffins to go.

Gwen has a heart of gold and is extremely personable. I believe it was her husband who made the most delicious recipes for the full breakfast and the presentation was like artwork, so beautiful ❣️
