Excellent place to stay, they really make it feel like home! The service is top notch. Shay is so accomodating , kind, and her customer service is outstanding. Would stay here everytime! Love the beach, the views, the rooms, cozy fire place, fire pits, boats to use. The park is a ton of fun for our 2&5 year old 10/10 highly recommend for a family getaway

Great little spot to stay, neutral to a few ATV trail head options which is why we’re up this time. A short distance from the red canoe for breakfast or fork on main in Kearney for supper and laughs. Nice little water front as well with a great view. We had a group of 6 stay in a second floor cottage and had lots of space for us and all our gear.

Spent 3 nights in 4A. Excellent, comfortable, accommodations. We are two seniors, up to do some ATVing. Steve fixed us up with a map and permit, and my wife and I spent two days exploring the West Algonquin ATV trails. This was the first time ATVing that area, and I have to say it was a learning experience. There had been no rain for several weeks, and we ate more dust than we would have like to. But hey! It's all part of the experience. Would I stay there again? You Betcha. This was one of the nicest places we have ever rented. Go, you won't be disappointed.

I have been enjoying Sand Lake Cottages for many years with a group of friends ATV’ing in April. Everything is always tip top - never any issues with disorderly neighbors. The owners really make sure everything is perfect for their guest. Highly recommend. I have read previous reviews about cell service issues. Currently it is spotty at best while on the property - however, I always pick up data when I walk to the lakefront on the property. But, as someone else pointed out - you are there to “get away”.

I booked this for a restful weekend for my husband mostly, but failed to check the specifics thoroughly before hand.
My husband was hoping for a cabin and I booked the main house—resembling more like an apartment and I didn't realize the height of the stairs. It was a little hard on my husband carrying so much weight up there (my fault for not asking/checking before hand).
Pros:
It was beautiful and clean inside and loved the hot tub and all of the space.
Cons:
1-View of the lake is too blocked by large trees from the room. Nice when you sit right at the lake though.
2-Bringing our own towels, sheets, pillow cases and of all things —toilet paper 😐 were surprising enough since they charge just as much as say, Heather Lodge in Minden, ON (where we were supplied with all of that and a bit spoiled there. View was also better at Heather Lodge as well) ...however, we thought whatever, fine.
3-What we were mostly shocked about was (upon reading one of the many 'rules' signs) that we were expected to vacuum before leaving.
4-We had to scout out the owners around the property to find them when we wanted to pay and leave.
Nice people, but a little bit disorderly in that sense. They ask to be texted, but with only one bar on the cell flipping in and out of no service, it was difficult.
It was very well kept, but we won't return.

Very clean and well maintained. My Wife and I had a wonderful winter getaway here. I would highly recommend this place for a beautiful country escape. We will for sure come again.

Husband and I just got back from our 4th stay at Sandlake Cottages and we will definitely continue staying there. Hands down this is the best cottage resort we've been to. The property is beautiful, clean and relaxing with a sandy beach footsteps away. Great experience for the whole family or romantic getaway; from bonfires, hot tubs, water trampoline, canoes, kayaks and paddle boats! Its a MUST visit. The owners steve and Danette are just the most welcoming and make sure your stay is perfect.

Was up for the atv poker rally, I really enjoyed the cabins, there where very nice, up to date on a lot of things. And really roomy. Cell reception on the property sucks, but you are away for a reason right? But I think it is over priced. No more than 200$ in my opinion
