We checked in on a Sunday & met the lovely Tracy!
Honestly every business needs a person like her!
She was very pleasant and had the personality that whatever else happened after being checked in by her..would be a smaller issue as you would just reflect back to the wonderful check in with “Tracey”!
Not very often that I could rate my whole stay just on how wonderful a brief encounter was with a staff member.
Hotel was good & everything was as expected
The only issue was the pool..we couldn’t use it because of a VERY strong smell..
We let the front desk know ..but the night shift was definitely not Tracey..Again having a person like Tracey upon check in is such an asset to a business.
I know this review was basically all about Tracey but hey what can I say..We absolutely loved her!

Alright, so I recently stayed at the Sandman Inn & Suites here in Williams Lake, and while it certainly gets the job done as a place to lay your head, I'm leaning towards a four-star rating with some pretty big caveats.

Let's just get this out of the way upfront: paying $230 for a night here felt absolutely insane for what you actually get. The value just isn't quite there, especially when you consider some of the details. I was tucked away at the very far end of the suite section, which meant a bit of a hike every time I wanted ice or coffee – and speaking of which, there's only one machine for both, which is a bit of a trek.

Inside the room, while spacious enough in the "suite" section, things felt a bit... tired. The coffee machine looked like it had seen better decades, the TV wasn't exactly cutting-edge, and the fridge was on the smaller, older side. And for that price, a double bed just felt a bit stingy. Plus, there aren't any restaurant discounts available, the gym is pretty basic, and the pool doesn't even have a hot tub, which is a real miss.

So, why four stars? Well, it's a Sandman, and it delivers on the core promise of a clean, safe, and reasonably comfortable place to sleep. The room was clean, the beds were okay (even if a double), and it's reliably located. It does provide the necessary shelter. It just feels like a solid, dependable option that needs a significant refresh and a reality check on the pricing to truly align with what guests are expecting in today's market. If they addressed some of the outdated amenities and reconsidered that price point, it would easily jump to a five-star recommendation.

Super helpful staff! Tracy Roy was amazing and super helpful. The night staff (can’t remember his name) also great when my arrival was delayed. Kudos to having great people!

I’d like to express my appreciation for Daryna and Glory at the front desk. Both were incredibly welcoming, professional, and helpful during my stay. Daryna’s friendly attitude and Glory’s attention to detail made me feel right at home. They truly represent the best of Sandman Hotel’s service. Thank you both for going above and beyond!🌺🌺

We had an amazing experience at the Sandman in Williams Lake, all thanks to Tracy Roy! From the moment we walked in, she greeted us by name, which made us feel so welcomed and valued. We were able to change rooms without any issues, and she made sure everything was perfect for our stay. The customer service was absolutely incredible – truly top-notch! Tracy went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Highly recommend this hotel, and especially Tracy, for making our visit so memorable! 5 stars all the way!

Good Morning|I stayed March 11 and departed March 12. Being a Senior the front desk staff gave me a quiet room at the rear of the Hotel. The room was very clean. I had a issues with the key,(MY FAULT) the staff responded immediately. In the Morning the front desk staff were helpful to find Kal Tire. Every staff member I spoke with were very polite. ||One last note, The towels were soft and the bedding sheets were the same. I would like to thank the front desk staff, Tracy and thank you to the lady who does the laundry, Crystal.

Our family arrived in Williams Lake melting in the heat. Tracy Roy welcomed us and got us set up in an airconditioned suite overlooking the lake and the park. A great view and good introduction to the town. Our lids.enjoyed the pool and loved the disc golf course in the big park. Thanks to Tracy and her team for a great stay.
