Bel hôtel très bien situé, près de l’autoroute, à quelques minutes d'Halifax, 2 restaurants dans l’établissement, piscine, chambre avec mini cuisine (j’aurais aimé avoir du savon vaisselle sous la main) sinon nous avons beaucoup apprécié, la porte coulissante pour séparer la chambre du salon est géniale car elle coupe le bruit du corridor et de l’ascenseur qui était juste à côté de notre chambre. Le lit était bruyant mais probablement que c’est négligeable, nous avons quand même bien dormi.

Nous avons passé un bon séjour de trois jours à cet hôtel. Moderne avec plafonds hauts, nous avions la chambre avec la mini kitchenette, c'était super. À côté de plusieurs restaurants et commerces. Superbe piscine.||Nous avons oublié notre haut-parleur Bluetooth, nous avons communiqué avec l'hôtel et il l'avait retrouvé, et envoyé par Purolotar. Très honnête de leur part.||Les deux seules choses qui nous empêchent de donner cinq étoiles est la propreté de la chambre; les miroirs étaient sales, le frigo n'a pas été vidé, le plancher était gommé et sale dans la kitchenette. La propreté défaillante semble être un refrain dans tous les hôtels Sandman que nous avons séjournés, Nous avons connus vraiment mieux au fil du temps.||Aussi, aucune salle de lavage, ce qui est très désagréable quand vous restez trois jours en famille.||Nous y retournerons surement un jour, le prix est bon.

We chose this hotel based on the proximity to the airport; we stayed here for the last night of our Nova Scotia honeymoon.

Our room was very clean, new, and looked exactly like the pictures. The front desk staff provided adequate service and it was a quick check in/out.

However, the issue was apparent as soon as we settled into the room: the soundproofing. Throughout the evening, we heard every conversation in the rooms above and beside us. We heard kids running and screaming in the hallways. We heard every toilet flush and water running well into the night. This was by far worse than my days living in a basement apartment.

At one point after midnight, we considered packing up and leaving to find other accommodations or sleeping in our rental car.

I am truly not sure how this hotel has such high reviews. But wow, I wish I had read some of the other reviews about noise before booking. I have stayed in a lot of hotels/motels while traveling before and have never experienced this level of noise.

Will not be back, and 100% do not recommend.

We arrived to check in at 6.30pm for a one night stay before our flight out of Nova Scotia the following morning. I had booked the hotel specifically because it had a pool and hot tub which we hoped to use before we checked out in the morning. When we arrived there was a notice on reception saying the pool was closed the following day for 'maintenance'. We had not been given any notice in advance of arriving, despite having received the standard 'we're looking forwrd to hosting you' email a couple of days previously. The receptionist advised the facilities were open until 10pm, so we decided to use them then. Unfortunately when we went down at 9pm the hot tub was not in use, apparently in anticipation of the following day's maintenance. It had been working fine when we arrived as we popped in to check out the facilities after we arrived. The receptionist didn't seem to know what was going on. It was a small thing, but something we were looking forward to on our last night of vacation. The room was fine, with a nice shower, but was roasting hot when we arrived, and took several hours to cool down. No water provided. Wifi was very patchy - it worked fine on one device, but the other two were tried didn't work. We were also surprised to find single use plastic tubes for shampoo and conditioner (remember this is a new hotel), rather than the refillable ones we had seen in all the other hotels we stayed in on our trip.

Stayed here the first week of October. Had a wonderful stay, right from checkin to checkout. Lovely new hotel, very clean, bed extremely comfortable, pillows were excellent, room well appointed.|Pool area was beautiful. Maintenance man, Ronald, went above and beyond for us. What a lovely gentleman. We found the pool deck furniture quite large and difficult to move, so we asked if we could move a couple of chairs closer to the hot tub. Ronald took it upon himself to move the chairs so we could be more comfortable. |He was so kind. We chatted for a few minutes, he is just a really lovely, helpful, kind person. Thank you Ronald for your kindness!!! |My one suggestion would be to add some smaller, easier to move, patio deck chairs around the pool area.|Thank you Sandman for a wonderful stay, and Thank you Ronald for your kindness!!!

Very nice hotel. Almost brand new, finished just a few months ago, so everything is very clean as it should be.

Lots of rooms, with a restaurant and bar attached to the main building, which is super convenient. We were working in the area, so the location could not have been better. Getting to downtown Dartmouth or to Halifax is a quick car ride away. Other restaurants and amenities are just across the street.

I can't think of a negative thing to say about our stay! I would definitely stay here again. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

My family and I have been trying to stay at this hotel before it was even open to the world. I even accidentally snuck in before it had been completed.I was hoping to speak to staff about getting on a waiting list but as no one was around that didn't happen. Sorry for causing any issues. Anyways - Spouse and I were in desperate need of a stay-cation. Needed to get out of the house, a little retail therapy way too much for an excellent dinner also longtime coming - you get the idea. Basically a yes weekend. ie. anything we'd normally say no to we said yes.|Where do I start. Con: the hotel is not easy to get into. You have to turn a couple corners to find the entrance and even then you have to venture in what looks like a traffic mess to get there. Once there however, parking is ample. Spots are tighter than I'm used to but then again I was driving a huge rental (Jeep Wagoneer - A real life Simpsons canyonaro). Check in was a breeze. Staff was so professional and friendly. Hotel has a very contemporary feel to it and avant garde art works adorn the halls. To access the elevator do elevator stuff its straightforward. Once in the elevator though you need a room key to access your floor, then your room door. The pool is an excellent size and was able to accommodate a large number of persons without it feeling crowded. The water slide looks like hours of endless fun and the rules are posted in big letter nearby. The whirlpool is hot and again doesn't look big but is deceptively spacious.|The rooms are very warm and welcoming. a sliding door divides the bedroom from the sitting area. our room had ample storage and a decent view of Dartmouth crossing.|Denny's Diner is attached to the hotel and signs are posted directing you from the lobby to the diner. Food served there was delicious and filling without placing us in a food coma. the adjacent bar space wasn't really used while we were there but they did have live entertainment one night we were there which was nice as you could hear it from the other side of the eatery without having to partake of the other sides offerings.|Shout-out must go to Sinead. She has the patience of a saint. So many times I asked her for rooms rates and availability and she always responded right away. I must have driven her nuts. I am sure she had a bet with the staff on whether we'd actually ever book a room and show up! Well we finally did and they did not disappoint.|We cannot wait to go back and stay there again. Don't need a reason, its that good. We have never stayed at a Sandman before and other than other hotels local to the area had no basis of comparison. Well spirits sufficiently lifted. our stay was restful relaxing and we were treated like VIPs even though we were just another guest. Thank you Sinead, Thank you Sandman for hosting us for our first stay at your hotel. It will not be the last.

It's a new hotel, pretty nice with a couple of restaurants that share the same space- though I recommending avoiding Denny's since the prices are way too expensive for the quality of food they serve. ||Location wise it's only good if you have a car really because it's on the fringe of Dartmouth Crossing and closer to the industrial park and unless you want to be walking over a kilometer with shopping bags, you'll want to drive everywhere.||Also, for whatever reason they don't allow you to leave the fan running on their HVAC unit. The result is that you end up hearing people in the hall, in other rooms, water in the pipes, not to mention this hotel s near a busy road with a couple of fast food places/gas station so it's pretty loud.
