I met Sean eight years ago in Yellowknife, NWT so when I decided to come back to Canada this year for another Aurora excursion, there was no doubt who I would select as my guide. Sean is a class act who will do everything in his power to make sure your experience memorable.

Prior to your scheduled pick up, Sean will have studied the weather and expected solar activity conditions in order to choose the evening’s route giving you the greatest opportunity to see the Aurora. Sean will promptly pick you up at the agreed upon location and time in his comfortable, clean SUV for the ride with a hot beverage and even homemade snacks for your excursion.

On this last trip, we had the unexpected excitement of finding herds of wild elk, caribou, deer and even a few wolves along the roadway. Viewing the stars and galaxies from this venue is an experience unto itself.

In addition to being an Aurora Chaser, Sean is an excellent photographer (and amateur astronomer) who will help you capture the memories of a wonderful experience the night(s) will bring. I can assure you, there isn’t a more pleasant, knowledgeable and dedicated guide to give you the best possible chance of seeing the Northern Lights. After a couple nights of cloudy skies we were regretting not having booked the typical tours that you see everywhere in Yellowknife 🫠However, we didn’t like the idea of large groups waiting to see the aurora at a pre-arranged location. That's when we found Sean's website! A professional Aurora chaser who studies the conditions every day to determine where and when the chances of seeing it are highest. Bingo! That’s exactly what we needed and it was A-MA-ZING! Even when we knew that any natural phenomenon is out of anyone’s control, Sean went above and beyond to make sure we made everything possible to make it happen…and it happened! At around 3:00 am we saw the most majestic spectacle ever witnessed before ✨ Plus, he picked us up and returned us at our Airb&b (which was 10 minutes away from downtown) so that eliminated my anxiety of having to rely on taxis at odd hours of the night (And also at a very fair price, we ended up paying less than at a traditional tours and the service was impeccable) If your dream is seeing the northern lights, stop reading reviews and hire Sean! You won’t regret it!

Sean worked with me to find the best night during my visit to Whitehorse to go Aurora viewing. The small group and private tours he runs feel far more personalized than mass viewing or bus tours. The extra touches, such as providing beverages and snacks, combined with his extensive experience and knowledge, make his tours once in a lifetime events!
Sean was watching both terrestrial and solar weather to choose the optimal time and place for viewing the Aurora. During the drive, he drew on his own interesting experiences to keep the conversation flowing and entertaining.
Sean is also a photographer, and after the tour provided a link to download the best of the pictures he had taken throughout the night.
The entire experience was incredible, and I would very much recommend a tour with Sean!

We are thankful that we found Sean on the internet. He was helpful from our first contact, answering questions about length of stay, things to do, clothes to bring, which helped our planning immensely . He was also very accommodating (and courageous) to take on our family with a 4 year old boy for aurora tours and day tours. He even brought kid friendly temperature drinks. He is a great photographer and is knowledgeable about the area and kept things interesting through the night. We booked Sean's Aurora tour, and he was very accommodating for our specific needs. Communication was clear with quick response time, booking was easy, and Sean was a wealth of knowledge during the tour. He had to drive us out from under the cloud cover in Yellowknife, but we found the lights. The warms beverages and baked goods were a nice touch.
