The photos do not accurately depict the condition of this property. It should be condemned. There are weird electrical cords running from under the carpet and baseboards that are definitely not to code. The water is yellow, has chunks in it and smells weird. The shower goes from hot to cold every 5 seconds while showering. It smelled like an ex smoking room. The owner made a snide remark about dog owners always having to travel with 2 dogs (like that makes a difference). His dislike for dogs was very apparent. The walls had yellow stains on them. The bed was as old as the property and there was no access to the ocean. (Seaside is a bit of a stretch). It’s gross, hot and smelly. I would not recommend it to anyone, ever. The cleaning staff are very nice - I feel for them having to work in a place like this.

Pretty spacious rooms! Great view. Just a shame that the water is yellow and smells like a septic tank... We didn't risk it and we just used bottled water for everything 😀 So NOT great for that reason. Also, $40 for a pet fee is too much!

At check-in it was super easy the front desk person was so friendly and even gave us a little bit of the highlights of what was going on in Powell River.💜 Room is a little dated and carpets need to be replaced but otherwise clean and well equipped for a kitchen with a full apartment-sized fridge complete stove and everything you need to cook and eat with. We did book the queen with kitchen at a very reasonable price of $140. Would definitely stay here again it is a inexpensive friendly great location area to stay in. And although we do not have pets it is also pet friendly with a small fee.

I found the location to be convenient and we had an ocean view. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The checkin was easy, arranging the room was easy and the rates were good. |The room had a kitchenette which makes it a great place to stay for a few days and save cost. I would stay here again

We vacationed for a week in Powell River, and stayed here. It’s conveniently located, near a grocery store and can easily access the local sites. The rooms and washroom are clean and the service is excellent. The room we booked had a well equipped kitchen. And there is a small picnic area with an ocean view. The only negative thing is the water, although previous reviews mentioned this and we came prepared. We really enjoyed our stay here.

On a motorcycle trip with a couple of friends when we stayed here for one night ( June 26, 2021). This is an older Motel but very clean, excellent t.v., shower, kitchen facilities (I didn't require) and a nice ground floor unit. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. The grounds were clean and had a nice picnic table to eat our evening pizza with a cocktail while taking in the view of the ocean. It's not the Hilton but good value for your dollar. I had a great night sleep as this area is just five minutes south of town with no traffic noise. Cleanliness and a good bed are important to me and I got both at this motel.

Hated the room. Carpet is really, dirty, and musty. My beds sink. I had a bed where 1 side sinks much more than the side.
Tap and flush water were coloured. Owner said that it's well water. Didn't appear safe and the water tastes funny so we didn't dare drink from the tap.
Cleaners do a bad job with the room. I had the vacuum the room myself.
Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Saving grace is the beach nearby. Beautiful place to watch sunsets.

You can't drink the water due to it being unsafe. The cleaning staff is completely unprofessional and will empty garbage bins all over the room and your belongings if the room is too messy. The owner is the cheapest person I've ever met and has no sense of customer service. He tries to justify being rude to customers when issues are brought up. It's a lovely view from the location but other than that I would not encourage anyone to give this guy money. He is lazy old and cheap. I stayed here for 5 months for work and my employees staying there wanted to quit just due to the hotel.
