This is a well run and very clean property. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. We had actually booked two cabins because we were taking our elderly parents with us. Dad really enjoyed sitting outside on the deck and watching the barges go by in front of the cabin. Mom just found it relaxing to be able to read her book. The cabin itself was older but well maintained. The owners take great pride in ensuring that everything is very clean. The furnishings weren't the highest quality, in fact I recognized the furnishing as being from IKEA. The beds were okay but the futon/couch was not at all comfortable. Our cabin had a ceiling fan however the owners had not yet replaced the fan motor, as a result the cabin was often very warm during the summer days. The kitchen have a smaller propane stove and a newer model frost free fridge. The water and water pressure are great with new fittings in the bathroom. I would suggest that if you wanted to book a cabin for your stay that you ask for Cabin 5 as it's the closest to the water and offers spectacular views of the water. I would most definitely recommend these cabins for families and those who are older.

We loved our stay here! My husband, daughter & I stayed here for a month and it was delightful. The cabins are piece of history and have been charmingly restored with all of the modern conveniences and attention to detail. The kitchen is well-appointed with everything you need: microwave, coffeemaker, pots & pans, wine glasses, teapot etc. The place was very clean & well maintained. The friendliness and easy-goingness of the of the owners only added to the charm of the place.||There are 5 cabins which are perpendicular to the water. Each has a small deck with 2 chairs and you can view the ocean from all...however I recommend you moving your chairs to the lawn overlooking the ocean~delightful! The property is on the water and at low tide you can walk along the beach for some beach-combing. You are also close to the towns of Chemainus & Ladysmith, which are both lovely towns for shops & restaurants. There is a small grocery store only mins away.||If you are visiting the Island I would say that this is a great central location for exploration.

What a gem! Located minutes from all of Vancouver Islands main attractions these two bedroom cabins were way, way, beyond what we expected. I arrived with my mom after booking last minute and was greeted by Heather and Rob who had everything ready for us. The view of the ocean is stunning and the cabins are spotless and everything inside is new and modern. I read some reviews that said only stay in cabin 4 or 5 but we were in cabin 3 and it was perfect. I travel all over the world for my job as a manger in the high end resort industry so I rarely write reviews like this, but Seaview Marine resort deserves a huge thumbs up and recommendation to anyone looking for a family retreat or romantic getaway right on the ocean. We spent the evening sitting in plush chairs directly on the ocean and loved it so much we had our breakfast there as well. These cabins feel like a home, not a hotel. There are also plenty of sand toys and water features for kids. It's not the Ritz Carleton but that's the point!! I feel they could easily charge double for the quality and service they provide here!! We have spent thousands of dollars staying at Thai-Na-Mara Resort, Cabins in Tofino, and many others on the Island and this would definitely be our retreat of choice for the future.

We've stayed at the Seaview Marine Resort every summer for many years. This summer Heather and Rob made magic happen when we needed to change our dates at the last minute. The cabin was perfect for the three of us, and a lovely spot to even entertain some local family. The views are great, both from the deck on the cabin and from the main grass area on the property. With only five cabins, and most of then rented for a few days or weeks at a time it is fun to get to meet the neighbours and hear their stories of trips around the island. Heather and Rob have continued to keep the cabins well stocked and refreshed, and it feels like our summer home away from home.

The resort has 5 cabins, they aren't facing the water, but they are about 20 or 30 steps away. At low tide, you can walk along the beach and find some interesting oyster shells. ||The cabins have two rooms and a complete kitchen.||The beds are very comfortable, but the couch in the living area isn't so comfortable.... The kitchen is completely stocked and all you need is your own food. The cabin itself is very clean, no foul odours.... The cabin looks as though it has had some recent renovations and they were done tastfully. ||The location of the resort itself is right in between Ladysmith and Chemainus which for us was perfect. Ladysmith has some great shops and great coffee shops. Chemainus does as well... and if you are a candy lover, Chemainus has an awesome candy store! Not to mention the Murals there.

We've been coming to Seaview Marine Resort for many years. This year we had two cabins to accommodate our adult children also. The views are stunning and access to the water is easy. There is plenty of privacy between the 5 cabins, but it is nice to meet the other travellers. There is everything we needed to have meals in, and there are also a number of nice restaurants not too far away.

What a wonderful place to spend our summer days! Cabin 5 met our expectations and beyond. It was cozy, comfortable, well-stocked. We could have as much or little privacy as we wanted as things are set up so well. Great fun beachcombing (bring your water shoes...the beach is stony), swimming, and hanging out on the deck that looked to the sea! No need to turn on the stove, for even with the fire ban, we had access to a propane BBQ . ||||Our only issue was the difficulty in getting a reply to our phone messages initially, but once we sorted that out, things moved smoothly. ||One of the 2 - bedroom cabins is highly recommended for couples or small families.||Thanks, Heather & Rob!

We reserved two cabins at the Seaview Marine Resort and I have not been this disappointed in cabins in a long time. I guess cabins 4 & 5 are completely remodeled, but we were unfortunate enough to stay in cabins 2 and 3. Cabin two was the worst, and as I was the one who recommended the cabins, I felt obligated to take the worst of the two. The walls were filthy, the pots and pans needed cleaning, and one was so bad, it did not even come clean. Cabin three was a little cleaner, but the oven was thoroughly disgusting. There was dried up old melted cheese hanging off the oven grates, and the whole oven was filthy. ||||The only good thing about the cabins was the bathrooms were modernized, and the beds were comfortable, but as far as everything else, very poor condition. Furniture is a combination of old rickety dressers to very uncomfortable Ikea sofas. My father was forced to sit on a kitchen chair most of the time as he had difficulty getting onto the low sofa, and once he was sitting, he could not stay as it hurt his back and bottom too much. ||||When we mentioned to the owner about the oven in cabin 3 she did not offer to clean it or anything. Our traveling companion said she would just not use it, and rather than offering to clean it for her, the owners response was "good". Then I mentioned the pot that I could not clean, and rather than suggest I bring the pot to her and she replace it, she asked if there was another pot in the cabin to use!||||As we were traveling as a fivesome and had two cabins we decided to use our oven and our traveling companions pots. I brought my own frying pans, because cabins usually have worn out teflon frying pans and I hate scratched up teflon, so at least I knew my frying pans were clean. The walls, and especially around the door frames, were filthy. ||||I also travel with my own disinfectant cleaner so I tried my best to wash down the dirty areas. Most of the dirt was ground into the walls though so I was not too successful. Our cupboards were missing door knobs and were very dated. The porches do not have railings and one of our guests was my 89 year old dad who was very shaky trying to get up and down off the porch. I think that they should at least have railings where the drop is over a foot down to prevent some one from falling off in the dark. ||||The wifi kept going out on us which was annoying as it was the cheapest way to keep in touch with family in Manitoba and on the mainland. ||||The owners apparently buy houses, fix them up and flip them. I think that they should take a break from that venture and put more effort into their cabins. It would not take long to give the place a fresh coat of paint and repair the cupboards. The dressers were also very old and rough looking. I appreciate we were staying in cabins, but for the off season price charged, you would think they would take pride in their cabins and show it. We will not stay here again, and we will ensure to advise our friends and family traveling to the area to avoid at all costs.
