Went to book a room and was told flat out they do not allow dogs. When told that I have a service dog not a pet I was informed I had to show proof that it was trained by a program. When Informed them nicely that all that is required by aoda law is a doctor's note the lady got rude and attempted to correct me. I've had service dogs for over 15 years so yes I know the laws. Beware they are not a disability friendly place

The motel staff was very friendly and helpful The motel itself is tired The outside walkway is all broken up. I almost tripped on the concrete. The rooms are big but well aged. They were clean and the bed was comfortable. The cable tv didn’t work. Not a big deal unless you want to relax at the end of your day with a little tv it was out for the 2 days we were there. They said it was the cable company but that seems far fetched. All in all you get what you pay for. The area was quiet

Our intention was to go see KISS at the Scotiabank arena and ended up coming up a couple of days sooner to go fishing for a couple of days with a friend. He suggested that we meet up and stay here at the Seaway Motel. It was certainly a great price. However, we learned just hours before the concert that it was cancelled. Shirley was a very gracious host despite her love for Joe Biden ;). Regardless of that, we struck up a great conversation with her and I look forward to seeing her again in the future.
I will gladly stay here again.

I was in a situation where I needed to stay at this motel for a month. I paid for a month and management wanted me out a day earlier than I paid for. I was told upon moving in that someone would come to clean the room once a week. It NEVER happened and because I have a child AND no vacuum, my floor got really dirty to where it attracted ants. The water pressure for the sink's hot water was abysmal making it hard to wash my dishes. I had asked management at one point if they allowed dogs (because my mother who has a dog was coming overnight to visit me for my birthday and needed to find a motel to stay at that accepted dogs) Management told me that no, they don't allow dogs but the next day someone moved in next to me and they had a dog. Also, my parking spot outside my room was almost always taken by the people who own the motels' family members. These people are liars, have no respect for other people and have no compassion. When I moved in, the bedding was dirty as well. The wifi kicks out frequently (so you have to sign in over and over and over again DAILY) and the tv cable signal kicks out constantly too (DAILY) No toilet seat lid and no bath plug. At least they have a mini fridge though and the ability to control the temperature in the room. Don't waste your money unless you are just staying overnight and avoid room 4.

This motel has had a major turn around!
Though some of the rooms are still dated the are slowly updating.

For reason I can not get into, The owners and Manager have a heart of gold

We had a very clean room and the service was outstanding!!

The manager of the property ( I believe her name is Shirley) is salt of the earth.

She offered to bring her personal fire pit so we could cook s'mores with my niece.

She brought sparklers over for all the kids that were playing on the front lawn. How cool.

We have not had better treatment at a 5 Star and we travel a lot.

If we ever need a room in the Port Colborne area again we WILL be staying at Seaway.

The two things I want most from a hotel room is quietness and cleanness. The motels definitely covers the first. It's out on a quiet stretch of the road, just outside of town. It's all one level so you don't get kids jumping up and down and running around in the room above you. ||||As for the latter, the room definitely dated and worn but it was clean. We didn't check the microwave but the refrigerator looked fairly new. The bathroom was retro with blue toilet, tub and tiles but again it was clean. I was originally concerned that the air (located above the skin) was too small and too far away from the beds (it was a really hot day) but things cooled down well. ||||I also thought it was a good place for dogs. There's an area in front of the motel where they can be walked and the quietness makes it so they don't get barking at strange noises. ||||I would stay here again.

We booked our room in advance prior to our long weekend getaway. The room was disappointing from the moment we opened the door and were greeted with the overwhelming stench of mold/mildew mixed with urine.||||I did not mind that it was dated and shabby, it is a cheap motel after all. But, my concerns were the following:||- dead insects on the floors||- curly black hairs on the bathroom floor||- blood stains and holes in linens||- odors in the room ||- very poor sound-proofing (neighbour's cigarette smoke got into our room even with the windows closed)||- pool rundown and closed||||Though we had booked in advance for the weekend, we checked out after one night. We told the lady at the front desk our concerns and were tersely told "this is not our best room". No apologies, etc. Why did we book in advance to be given "not the best room"? ||||What did we like about the motel:||- it was affordable||- it had a working fridge||- it was close to some nearby shops e.g. McDonald's||||Needless to say, for an extra couple dollars a night, we checked into Canada's Best Value Inn motel down the street and were pleased to step into one of the cleanest motels I've ever stayed at.

They don't allow pets . Fine but I was stuck for a night with my small dog as the person watching him for the month couldn't get him until the next day. I kept my dog in the car checking in on him every hour over night. First I had a man at the front desk be very rude to me yelling at me about not having dogs in the motel. I tried to tell him I'm keeping him in the car until the next day but was rudly cut off. The next day I went in to pay for a month stay my dog was off and gone with his sitter already I was once again yelled at about having my dog with me the other day ? I tried to tell her he was in my car the whole time and never in the unit .she told me to be quiet when I asked her to pleas listen to what I was saying ? They were very nice until they got my money. Also bed was dirty so I had to put old sheets over the whole bed. I was told I would not have towels for the month I had to previde my own. Room was cold damp and smelled like meldue. No flat screen tv. Carpet dirty. Wasn't shown how to use things like old tv or thermostat. Had to ask cleaning lady that lives next door about things like garbage and such. After being yelled at for something I did not do I'm not going to recommend this place to anyone !! Very rude people at front desk!! Not worth the money I spent!
