Our car broke down and we were stranded on the highway for 4 hours. We were finally able to stay 1 night at this hotel and LOVED it.
The woman was extremely nice and pleasant to talk to. She gave local recommendations as well as a not too expensive big dinner. The breakfast was also good.
She gave us a free room upgrade. The Rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable.
We loved this hotel and it felt like home.

I didn’t stay here but this was the perfect place to stop in on Sunday and have a jiggs dinner. Their plate size was massive, you got a huge portion of every aspect of the dish, and it all tasted delicious. You get a choice of turkey or roast beef and I thought it was perfect for the price. I was very satisfied and left very full!

Place is very dated and old looking. Garbage all around the property.

Inside is equally as dated and disorganized. Was offered the room that was "cleanest" Initially management could not find the key to our room. Rooms are run down with cheap fixes and "bandaid" work. Beds were uncomfortable and could hear every bang.

Was afraid of potential bed bugs so slept on covers.
Checked out as soon as we woke up next morning

Definitely not worth 200 a night

Advice - drive the extra 45 minutes and get a nice hotel in the city

Their customer service is terrible. The lady who handles the reservations gave away our rooms. She said she called me and sent me an email but she never took down my information.
So when I called back to make a booking of 14 rooms, she had booked someone else in our place. Despite telling me the rooms would be ours.

This place is home away from home. We were there for a very sad reason and my mom was sick from the stress of traveling.
The owners helped me to get her into the room and then went of their way to make her tea and toast to calm her tummy down. The bread was home made!
They made us feel cared for during such a difficult time. We were there for three days and felt so comfortable in the rooms and when we came back after after a difficult day.
I will be going back in the summer and staying here at Silverwood again.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place.

Wonderful "down home" feeling here. If you can't find something - just ask Gerry or his wife, they are more than willing to help.
The beds were comfie and we especially liked the lazy boy chair in the room.
We would pour a glass of wine and take it down to the
Cozy sitting area before a good home cooked dinner.
Reasonable prices too.

The lobby and restaurant was welcoming and the owner(?) was friendly, but the rooms were dated and run down. AC was not available in one of our rooms and the door to the bathroom did not close properly. We cut our visit short after only one night.

We were visiting town to see a local artist. A good experience! The owners were very friendly and offered to cook meals anytime we wanted. The room was also nice and had very comfortable beds. The only thing I would mention is when we were out of town to attend to a concert, we never got back to the building to after 2:00AM. Once we got there, we were terrified as we realized the door to the lobby was locked and we couldn't get it in. We called the number shown in the porch and the owner came and let us in after about 5 minutes. After a few drinks and for a few minutes we thought we were going to be sleeping in the porch of the hotel. This was a very minor concern during our stay, as the service and friendliness of the owners were great. A heads up would of been nice that doors would be locked at a certain time, but all was great, and we would return!!
