The staff was incredibly helpful and provided us with plenty of information regarding our trip through Northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories. There are plenty of maps and travel guides available for free, plenty of restrooms (indoor and an outhouse) as well as a small gift shop.

Went in today as a local resident looking for a few things/info to send to someone out of province about Slave Lake. The centre was super clean, lots of information was available to pick up and take with you. The young man working, Corbin, was very friendly, knowledgeable and great to chat with. Learnt a few new things today myself! Keep up the great work Corbin! I also wanted to note that the outhouse was one of the cleanest and pleasant outhouses I’ve ever had to use! We walked the little trail they have their as well and that was fun. There are these wooden animals on the signage throughout and we thought maybe they were part of a scavenger hunt, which would have been super fun for my kidddos, when we asked Corbin about it he said, no that was not a thing. Maybe something to think about adding? It would be quite easy to do and a fun little thing to get more people out on that path perhaps. Just my 2 cents 😊

It hasn't opened since covid started and is still not open so we stop it Gove our dogs a break and we used our washroom in our holiday trailer and had lunch in it to. There lawns are cleaner than roadside stops but I wish it would open and I also think the goverment should have more roadside stops in northern alberta.

Awesome place and the person working there was extremely helpful and courteous. This can also be a pit stop if we were driving up north and washroom was clean. They also have lots of maps that were quite helpful

Sign on the door says closed for the season in July. 25, 2021. Answering machine says we look forward to seeing you in the spring of 2021
