The resort located on a beautiful shore of the bay. You will definitely enjoy the terrific ocean views and sunsets and, if you’re lucky, the wildlife. Our unit was in a great condition, equipped with a full kitchen, a tub+shower bathroom, a balcony, and floor-to-ceiling triple glass sliding doors with gorgeous view. It is definitely an ideal place to relax and enjoy the nature. The stuff was very polite and really helpful with all our questions. The check in and check out were quick and simple. The only downside we found during our stay was a total absence of any eatery on the site. So, when you go, don’t forget to grab groceries or be prepared to drive to the closest town to get yourself some food :).

Amazing Oceanside resort in beautiful east Sooke BC. A 15-18 min drive off the highway downs the back roads of east Sooke, off the beaten path is this hidden gem resort. A full 2 bedroom condo with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. A must for a girls trip, romantic or family getaway. We stayed here in a beautiful top floor unit 2 bedroom 2 full bath with clawfoot tub.

Service was contactless. No need to talk to a human. Our 7pm check in was a breeze. Just open a lock box to get our instructions and door keys. Enjoyed 4 days of peaceful waves crashing on the coastline.

The rooms were both king size bed and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessary tools you need to cook a gourmet meal.

Langford is 30 mins away and has everything you need including Costco a mall and lots of great restaurants.

Only con I noticed was coffee table and beside tables were dated.

Can’t wait to go back for another getaway. Highly recommend.

I recently stayed at Sookepoint Ocean Cottage Resort, and it was truly a remarkable experience. The location is absolutely breathtaking—perched right on the edge of the cliffs with unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean. Every morning we woke up to the sound of waves and often spotted seals, otters, and even whales right from our balcony.

The cottage itself was modern, clean, and very well-appointed. High-end appliances, comfortable beds, and a spa-like bathroom made it feel like a luxury home away from home. The large windows and glass railings kept the view front and center no matter where you were in the suite.

The resort is quiet and peaceful, ideal for a relaxing getaway. It’s also a great base for exploring the natural beauty of Vancouver Island—close to hiking trails, beaches, and the town of Sooke. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Overall, Sookepoint is a hidden gem. If you’re looking for tranquility, nature, and stunning oceanfront views, this place delivers in every way.

Came here for our honeymoon and stayed for two nights. Wish we would have stayed longer.
It was such a quiet oasis after our wedding business. Everything was superb! Amazing views and some short coastal hikes nearby. There was some construction going on while we were there but we didn't think about it.

Geweldig uitzicht op de oceaan.
Mooie woonkamer met comfortabele stoelen. Lekkere bedden. Prima keuken en wasmachine/droger. Groot balkon.
Helaas bouw overlast.

We had a very disappointing experience during our recent stay. Our check-in was scheduled for 4 PM, but when we arrived, our room was not ready. The staff told us nothing could be done, and we would have to wait—potentially until 7 PM—for the room to be available. This delay affected at least 3-4 other groups as well. The hotel only has about a dozen rooms, so while full occupancy before a long weekend was expected, this level of delay was unacceptable.

At 7:06 p.m., we checked in with Trixie, who was extremely rude and unprofessional. Every question we asked was met with “I don’t know” and multiple shoulder shrugs. When we asked how long it would take for our room to be ready, she said, “I can’t contact housekeeping because they will get mad at me.” This lack of communication and disrespect was very frustrating.

We were eventually contacted at 9 PM that our room was ready—five hours after our scheduled check-in time and after a long 5-hour trip from the mainland. There was no proper accommodation for guests to wait inside the hotel; the closest alternative was an hour away. We were among the first to arrive but ended up being the last to receive a room. Because we had another room booked, the hotel made us accommodate other guests who had only single rooms and were waiting in their cars.

Once in our room, we found multiple small issues, which can happen anywhere. However, when we tried to get help, the response was an automated message saying, “We have no one at this time to help you.” Our stovetop stopped working, and since there were no food options nearby, we had to cook in the other room’s stove, juggling all our food between rooms.

After all these inconveniences, the hotel refused to offer even a one-hour late checkout following the busy long weekend.

Adding to our frustration, after we checked out, we received a notification for an extra cleaning charge with no explanation. When we asked Trixie about the reason, she simply gave us the general manager’s email and offered no details. We had loaded the dishwasher (except for a few dishes that didn’t fit), cleaned the counters, ensured nothing was left on the ground or wet, and put all garbage in bags The only thing left out were cans beside the sink since there was no recycling bin in the unit. I have no idea what this extra charge was for, and the lack of transparency or willingness to explain the fee was just another example of the poor service we experienced.

Overall, this stay was poorly managed, with rude staff, lack of communication, inadequate guest accommodations, maintenance issues, and questionable extra charges. We can not recommend this hotel based on our experience.
