We stayed at the Hilton Spark in Guelph. We stayed in a room that is considered a suite meaning a separate bedroom from a living room area. The room was not cheap and was over $300 per night. |PRO- hotel is newly renovated and the decor is fun and bright.|CON- with the exception of the furniture, the room is lacking in amenities for a suite. |The living area has a couch and TV and that’s it. No Coffee table, or small two seater table to sit and eat.|There is a small wet bar with microwave, fridge and sink however there is no coffee maker, no kettle, not a single cup or glass anywhere in room to get water, including bathroom. No extra blanket or pillow for the pull out bed. No robe or safe in the room.|The HVAC system is complicated to use and sounds like a jet engine making sleep very difficult. We called down to front desk before bed to for ask for assistance as it kept switching between hot and cold air. Front desk said they would be right up. We waited past midnight and nobody showed up. We tried calling front desk numerous times and they didn’t answer. We gave up and ended up turning the entire system off so we could sleep. While in bed we could hear the loud HVAC system going on and off from the suite beside us.|The water in the shower was warm at best.|The breakfast was very basic. unlike other chains who include breakfast. this was basic with no hot items. Cold cereal, toast, yoghurt, bananas were essentially the option with tea and coffee.|I have stayed at less expensive hotels around the world that provide better amenities in the room and are more responsive to requests. I have never been in a hotel that does not offer a glass to get a drink of water.|For the price of the room, I would recommend exploring other hotels to ensue you get better amenities and service.

Great check in, rooms are well lit and spacious. Pool/Hot Tub closed until March 30th, 2025 according to website/app.

Nice enough, though a bit expensive for what it was. It's impossible to close the curtains all the way so there was too much light in the morning. The rooms were clean but nothing special. Breakfast was good but the pancake maker was strange... It churned out chewy, rubbery pancakes. Coffee was surprisingly good and available 24/7.

Room was not cleaned, the tub had hair in it and the bathroom sink was dirty the mirrors through out the room looked like maybe sprayed but not wiped at all. The mini fridge had nasty stuff and noodles were on the floor beside the fridge. There was 3 pieces of popcorn in the bathroom, the door had look like blood on it. Was not impressed at all.
Will not be going back.. says they have a high cleanliness service which is not true.

Also booked a king room with jacuzzi and paided online before hand, when we checked in we did not get that room and got told the 2 rooms were booked already. Then why online would it show the room with the spa bath and say that on it...

Stayed over a night for my work party in town. Hotel was decent, for two stars it was clean, service was friendly, and pool was good. It's small so we didn't see too many people.

Room was large enough and clean. Typical of Holiday Inn's. That night it rained pretty hard, and the ceiling leaked in the hallway, on the second of three floors. I let the front desk know and they were very polite, but skeptical...not surprising considering it was 2am.

Overall I was pleased, but there is more competitive hotels/AirBnB's in the area for the same price.

Hotel was in a fairly convenient location with restaurants walking distance. The rooms were clean and had a fridge and a microwave. Staff was friendly. The breakfast included looked really good and had a great selection (I did not try it during my stay).
